AERIS 3-IN-1 Pro Purifier, HEPA, Stark White $192.50 + $40.70 Delivery to Business Addresses Only (Was $973.50) @ Westlab

While looking around at the price of the HEPA filters that go inside these, I've found that Westlab is having a stock clearance of the entire machine, probably left over from the COVID days, for less than the price of the filter itself.

Maybe you work in a smokey area, want to get mold out of your air, or work with chemicals/fumes? Who knows - but worth a look.

Also, please note that we don't deliver to residential addresses or PO boxes.

  • Does anyone know how often the filters need replacing on these and where to buy them? I’m new to the HEPA game

      According to the website
      "12 months based on a speed of 3, 24/7"

So should last at least a few years for home use.

Thank you for finding the info for me. Too bad the filters cost almost $300 if I’m reading it correctly

Yeah. This purifier is pretty high end and unfortunately all of the high end purifiers have expensive filters.

IKEA has cheap replacement filters if you are okay with a cheaper and lower CADR purifier.

          • @Aureus: Got a link to the IKEA filter that works with this?

            • @CereaL: Sorry I meant get the IKEA purifier + filters. My bad, I wrote that confusingly.

Don't think there is any cheap filter options for this purifier.

      • Would they deliver it home tho?

Damn the filters cost more than the unit

  • what we thinking all? wouldn't mind putting a few in the 3d printing room. are these just overpriced rrps or are they genuinely good products? got both models in the cart for under $400 shipped.

If you look at the CADR rate and compare with Samsung, Philips, Breville, Winix etc you'd know you are getting a bargain no matter this machine or Trusens Z6000. The only thing you need to worry about is where to buy good and cheap filters.

      • Cheers mate, before i do my head in looking are cheap none oem filters a thing for these?

    • +1

I picked up a cheap a comparable industrial purifier (Inovair) and it measurably reduced PM2.5 and VOCs when 3D printing. I would recommend something like this if you're in the same room as your printers but ideally have them elsewhere and vent them outside!

If you want value then it's 4 Ikea filters + a 5 pack of Arctic P14s arranged into a Corsi Rosenthal box. Assemble with cardboard, tape and a 12v 1A wall power supply. Ugly as sin but, truly unbeatable in value.

Separate to that, I vent my 3d printers outside. I know it's like, not that bad to breath but I don't wanna.

i run a1s so sadly cant vent properly. thanks so guys might buy the 3 pack to save on filters.

        • Buy a grow tent and a 4" inline fan and some ducting - baddaboom, vented enclosure.

My business address is my home, does that work?

I work for a school that bought these for every classroom during COVID. The filters were used up, and I guess no one ever bothered getting new ones due to cost. As a result, they are now collecting dust, which is a bit ironic, and someone made a LOT of money selling them to schools. Heavy, bulky, non-functional without new filters, yeah maybe someone could ring up schools in the Parramatta diocese and see if they want to get rid of this junk.

  • Wondering if this would be worth it for home (open lounge area) if there is a low speed option. Hoping it would last a few years on a lower setting.

  • Damn would have got these if not for the replacement filter costs. Does the unit stop working if the filter is due for replacement? Or can it be cleaned up manually a bit for getting a bit more use out of it?

    • +2

We have stacks at work (covid) but due to the filter replacement cost, they wouldn't replace the filters.

But the unit keeps going. I've been vacuuming the bottom of the filter trying to get more life out of it. The filter is no joke, it's like 4kg.
