So, it looks like ACCO’s the one behind this brand, and they’ve pretty much got it everywhere around the world. I’d reckon the PM2.5 Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 880 m³/h makes sense for a machine this size—seems legit since they made by held accountable globally. But, big companies, who can really tell?

Anyway, an air purifier with a CADR like that usually costs a ton. Even Xiaomi’s Air Purifier 4 MAX goes for RMB 2000 discounted. And with replacement filters at JB Hi-Fi, you could probably snag three of these machiese.

If you have OnePass, about the same price via Bunnings Marketplace (Z7000 is $169.15), but you can get Flybuys points if that is important to you.

  • Weight is 60.19kg on Bunnings market but official website is 21kg. I wonder if it's just a typo.

Also it costs $1999 (probably after tariffs) in North America.
    https://www.trusens.com/p/air-purifiers/performance-series-a…

    • KG is the only place selling these at 90% discount. Other sellers in Australia are selling these at $13xx

It would be cheaper to just buy multiple purifiers rather than buying replacement filters at JB. $225 per filter, or you just buy the entire purifier for $142.

    • Can you just wash them carefully?

    • +1

These units use 2 filters every time (2 sides). so cost is $449/year for filters if you don't have access to cheap filters. Alternatively, buy 3 units from KG.

      • In Australia, air qulity is good so don't think it needs run 24/7 or 7/week unless using in a bad air space.

Most of the time I'd open the door fully first to let the air flow. Should make lots of diff.

        • If so, hay fever won't be a thing in Australia.

Z7000 still showing up as about $300 even after code.

  • I get the strange suspicion is a price error?
But in excited if i get it :)

    • +1

My Z6000 is already in transit.

  • +2

Have seen a few purifiers posted previously where there were cheap replacement filters available, but a quick google isn't showing up anything for this model. Unless you're going to pre order a bunch of the units and leave them on standby, may be a bit of a downside.

  • Thanks Op, just got one.

  • Agree. Big problem is with replacements filters. If anyone knows of cheap replacements or OEM replacements. Please share.

    • I will be ordering from Taobao. Plenty of sellers offering custom size filters at cheap prices.
I'm still waiting for my machine to come from Mel to Bne, eta is Fri or Mon. Once the machine is received, I'll measure the filters and send out to Taobao for quote.

      • is Taobao now accepting Australian credit cards?

        • yes, it always has. I just ordered stuff last week.

      • I just checked taobao. I can't find z6000 filter. even in taobao the z3000 filter is more than $100.

        • +1

There are mant factory operated stores on taobao that sells custom size filter. Once I received my purifier, Ill measure the filter dimensions and ask for quotes.

          • @katsuya: great thanks for the information. could you please share the outcome. and you can also check alibaba sometimes it is much cheaper than taobao.

            • @RichardF89: I'll post the outcome here.

As for alibaba, ive never used it, maybe someone and try and ask for quote for ppl here.

              • @katsuya: I will have a try after you get the price feom taobao.

              • @katsuya: Keep us updated on the custom filters from Taobao. Interested to know.

                • @bcYield: it's already there, read further down the thread.

  • Seriously, you guys are buying this as landfill once filter need to be replaced. They are north of $300.

    • The size of these filters are a lot bigger than those you see in the domestic market, thats why this machine delivers better CADR.

      • It is. But the cost will put many off. Not arguing that it is better purifier with much higher CADR.

People need to be aware of the ongoing cost, often more expensive than the machine itself.

    • Buy other filters then? no one on ozbargain would seriously be paying that much for filters

      • So. I have went down the rabbit hole. Some don't fit well, and don't are questionable in terms of how well it works.

Filtration material is inexpensive, but what comes out of china (some knock offs) can be questionable.

RRP of $1999 for what is essentially a fan in a box with 2 filters… like what?

Replacement filter is priced at $450 for 2 panels of HEPA paper with charcoal pellets?

    This pricing is wacky.

No wonder they're dumping these things.

    • If you dont have access to taobao's cheap filters, it's probably not a fit for you.

But for the sale price right now, the machine itself is worth every penny

  • Thanks OP just bought 1. have you received yours? how is it?

    • Not yet, probably arriving on Monday

I've received my unit and measured the filters. The filters are 495 x 315 x 40MM with cardboard wrapping, extra sponge outside. So far I've received 2 quotes from Tmall (Taobao),

    First store: https://shop186876116.taobao.com/?spm=pc_detail.29232929/evo…
RMB $140 each, $110 if order 10. prices before delivery.

    Second Store: https://shop211267037.taobao.com/?spm=pc_detail.29232929/evo…
RMB $145 each, $120 if order 10, price before delivery.

    • Shipping
Taobao Group Shipping to Australia by sea is roughly 6~9 weeks.
Cost is GST of the goods +RMB$60 First KG, RMB$10 Every KG after that.

The Weight is either the weight or volume metrics weight (LxWxH/6000) whichever is heavier. In our case, we will be using the volume weight, roughly 2kg, they calculate per kg, no decimals.

So, cost of shipping to our home is RMB$70

    • does that custom filter include the activated charcoal?

      • Simple answer is yes.

Here is my request to all of them:

495 x 315 x 40MM, activated charcol on 1 side, H13 grade HEPA on the otherside. Cardboard wrapping, extra 1cm wide, 3mm high sponge outside to seal the fillter on the HEPA side, pull strap on the charcol side.

    • I've received another quote from this seller:
      https://m.tb.cn/h.67NWEsnv7YFXqsO

The quote is RMB$980 for 10, he also attached whole bunch of test results trying to convince me that they are using qualified materials. I said I'll think about it, he then offered upgrading HEPA side with blue antibacterial on the surface for the same price.

      • Thanks OP, do I need to order for myself or buy with you? then for shipping I am in WA so I need ship seperatly.

        • Please order yourself as taobao consolidated shipping should be able to ship directly to you. I'm in Brisbane, shipping to you is probably uneconomical.

          • @katsuya: have you purchased the filter yet? how much did you paid for the shipping?

            • @RichardF89: No, we've got a whole year to do it. Shipping cost for Taobao consolidated shipping should be around RMB$70 for 2. Personally I use private conslolidated shipping company.

    • how is the Air Purifier do you like it? and which model did you buy? I got the z6000

      • I got z6000 too. So far so good.

        • mine is still on the way
