Improvement from the previous deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/868386

Extra 10% off with signup didn't seem to apply for me, but 20% off with referral did. Chipolo ONE Point 4-Pack $93.60 after referral is great nonetheless. Purchased 2x 4 packs for less than $190 including free shipping.

Works with Google's Find My Device app

Chipolo ONE Point helps you find your keys, backpack, luggage using Google's Find My Device network. Locate them on a map, ring them when nearby, or use distance hints for their precise location. It's durable, water-resistant, and has a replaceable battery that lasts a year.

Good deal. Have few of these and they are good. Not great compared to Apple / Samsung as of now but hopefully in future it will get better.

They’re more expensive than Air Tag as well.

      Not after a referral discount.

  • Doesn't seem to be applying the 20% for me

    • Yeah haven't been able to get it to apply for me too. I tried it a few days ago as well - so not sure if it just incompatible referral codes or it doesn't work - as some people seem to be able to get the 20% off still!

Actually after a few refreshes of the page and going back and forth on the checkout page it seems to finally have added the code. So I get the $94 price with $19 extra for shipping.

I couldn't replicate on another browser though!

Anyone from the Sydney area want to combine orders and save on the shipping?

  • For those android users that were previously using things like Tile or Smartags….how are you finding these in terms of reliability?

has FMD network improved over the past few months? the initial launch was the epitome of disappointment. don't think it's worth opting in until "with network in all areas” setting is the default for everyone

    2 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleFMD/comments/1g76r5r/fmd_inte…

I'm in Australia and my own testing with chipolo has shown nonexistent FMD network at the moment.

It's not amazing but it's definitely better than when mine arrived in the first pre order shipment. Just checked the 2 cars they're in and can see a location with a ping in the last 5 minutes.

Couldn't do that at the start.

  • May look to the Moto tag when it gets cheaper… - https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1ehkbtq/moto_tag_v…

referral discount applied first time for me… got a banner on the home page at the top saying 20% would apply when I checked out, at the cart it had the referral/promo code in the box. 2 x 4 packs delivered for $187.20 - happy days :)

are they a good alternative to the air tags?

    • +1

It's the best beside Apple and Samsung. But it's a big gap between 2nd (Samsung) and 3rd place (Android FMD). A shame too Android should have a pretty big network but they are scared to turn FMD network on enmass fearing backlash.

  • I got the 20% off referral to work, but it took several tries with different codes.

Use code FREESHIP to remove shipping cost (usually $19).

  • Referral code doesn't seem to work anymore but CHIP10 works for extra 10% off.
Note: You can only use 1 promo code at a time.

Looks like the referral code works again. Just placed order.

  • Is using Airtags with Android a thing?
I realise that AirTags officially only work with the Find My app on iOS and Mac, but maybe people have found a work around to access via web?

I have a Pixel phone, but home I have a Mac I can use to sync with the Airtags. Then hopefully when out of the house, the Apple network would be strong enough via other people, for my Airtag to work ok even without my phone talking to it?
