WTF is wrong with me? I have 9 million emulation devices and have these games on every single one, but I STILL feel the need to buy it…

    • For tenbux, worth it.

      • Yeah no

I added this to my wish list as soon as I heard it was getting delisted and have now bought it (using a $5 Xbox reward voucher to discount it further thankfully).
Of course I already had this on PlayStation and Switch (physical), not to mention I have a Mega Drive Mini, my original Mega Drive, on top of the many ways it's possible to emulate the entire library.
The one place I'm drawing the line is I'm going to stop paying for the NSO Expansion Pack. :)

So you’re handing away free money because nostalgia

        • You would have been king off the neighbourhood if you had this collection back in……1993.

well its not free money, there is a value proposition that makes sense to many people, $10 to access (not neccesarily consume) a collection of retro games on a modern platform.

Now for this to be a waste you would have to consider what the opportunity cost of departing with your $10 and for most people who would consider this proposal that would be your middle age men reminiscing on thier teenage years, this proposition would be quite enticing. even if this collection has been purchased on previous platforms or even if its available for free through emulation.

I'll be sure to ask you if it's ok next time.

i like achievements so prefer to get it on xbox

I have this on Steam and Switch. This is one of the best retro compilation out there; Sega really made this with the care it deserved. I especially loved the way the UI with the classic console and CRT TVs and the animation of removing the cart from its box and placing it in a Megadrive/Genesis. Another unique UI I can think off is the Capcom arcade compilation

  • Ah nostalgia

If it included the Lion King I would be sold

Steam version is infinitely more worth it. You get the actual ROMs that you can load into any emulator and program of your choice.
    That’s how I got Sonic 3 A.I.R.

  • Ends in 4 days forever

  • You really need a megadrive controller to enjoy a lot of these games i've found, that's on all platforms not just xbox. 6 button controller is the best

  • Not a bad deal, but if anyone has a VR headset be sure to check out emuVR as it will truly transport you back to your 80s-90s bedroom. https://www.emuvr.net/

  • pretty sure I have this pack on Steam and Switch and Xbox 360…. but I'm still tempted…

  • If only it included turtles hyperstone heist I'd be all over this deal!

    • Wish list The Cowabunga Collection and wait for it to drop in price. Has been as low as ~$22 for Xbox and PS, and $24 for Switch.

  • Already purchased it on Xbox many moons ago. But what's interesting to me is that I have the game on Steam despite not actually buying it… but I purchased many of the games in the collection when they were available on Steam (the Sonics, SOR etc).

    • With the exception of the Sonic games that made it on Sonic Superstars, all other individual games that originally came with the collection are still available to purchase on the Steam version.

  • What does delist mean? in the sense that does it mean i need to have it downloaded and installed on my xbox or pc (steam) to play it, or can i still install it at a later date from xbox store / steam?

    • You dont need to have it installed, but you need to have purchased it. It will never be available if you haven't purchased it previously from the delist date (but can still be installed). At least that's my understanding.

    • -1

If you buy before it's delisted it will be in your xbox games library to download when you like

  • Nice…

  • Spewing, I wanted to buy this for someone and I went to buy as a gift and there was no option. So I put it off and only remembered to get in before midnight (I got my mates login) and it's finished. Is there a way to get it if I change time on my phone or anything else? I have set myself to another time zone but I still can't seem to get it
