YES it is, if you like fun racing games (not sim) then it is great.
I would recommend getting it through Microsoft store though so you can get it for both xbox and PC , not just steam.
If you want to try it first, get pc game pass trial.
If you have an Xbox that makes sense, however MS store stuff does work with Steam Deck or Steam Link streaming. I wish I had bought it on Steam.
Downvoting a game with a Lego track and hot wheels cars for not being realistic enough is a wild take.
Lego tracks and Hot Wheels are fun, no issue there. However, the response time for cars to react to key inputs, like moving left or right, is not right (slow). It should be ok to share my experience here. Sharing my experience is the whole point of commenting here, isn't it?

That could be due to a number of things causing input lag, not related to the game.
It's an arcade racing game, not a racing simulator like Gran Turismo. If anything, the cars in FH5 are much easier to steer and lag less. If there is input lag, it would be whatever controller you are using as you shouldn't be experiencing what you said. Are you using a steering wheel? If anything some cars are too sensitive.
been playing this game since launch, so like a problem with your device / setup rather than the game, else EVERYONE who plays it would be complaining.
Driving is not meant to be realistic in the HORIZON games, they are ARCADE racers with some elements from sim games (e.g. all the parts upgrades tuning etc), this is in no way supposed to be a sim style racer, that's what Forza Motorsport is for. If you don't want to play a fun laid back fun arcade racer, then HORIZON is not for you. Stick to Assetto Corsa or iRacing.
I'd call it really happy medium. More realistic than arcade racers and more forgiving than a proper sim. It's not perfect (world design and multiplayer definitely need some work), but it's a great game.

If you're happy with the PC version from the Microsoft Store instead of from Steam.
MS Store version doesn't work on Steam Deck (like at all) and makes streaming fussier. Definitely a pros-and-cons situation.

Anyone else had trouble with transferring their savedata from Microsoft to steam? Even tried the tool with no luck.
You can't. The dev's have clearly stated from launch, the ONLY platform that has any kind of cross save, is the XBOX platform, so if you play it on xbox, or through the xbox windows app, they cross over. For Steam, and PS5, the game save is locked to their own platform.

I used this tool and got it working eventually. Can’t remember exactly what happened, but I believe I had to rename some of the save files manually for them to be picked up by Steam properly.
I also now have this fun glitch that some cars in my collection don’t have thumbnails (just blank) and I have no idea how to fix it.
But it did work in the end and saved me 60+ hours of repeat gameplay.
