These things ain't the easiest to install, Mortise lock. I have had one of these for the last 10 years, and recently replaced mine with a similiar unit - the mortise was the same size luckily.

    • Are mortise lock better than dead bolt?

Ive got a samsung lock for the past 2 years.. their software support is pretty terrible and they have sold the home smart locks division to Zigbang.
Its common for the smart lock would drop off from the home router and wont reconnect u til reset the lock… and they have taken off the ability to lock the door remotely which is one of the most useful feature (i.e. forgot to lock the door and only realise once far from home)…
    I dont recommend them

    • Same experience with the A30 lock which I have now decommissioned in place of a U100 which is working flawlessly thus far.

    • My samsung lock is rock solid, literally never drops off wifi, though I did tweak my Asus 2.4ghz wifi, prior to the tweaks all my 2.4 ghz devices would randomly dropoff due to low power consumption.

If you have asus router you can have a look at this:

      https://www.snbforums.com/threads/2-4ghz-devices-keep-discon…

      Enable TX Bursting Disable
      Enable WMM Enable
      Enable WMM No-Acknowledgement Disable
      Enable WMM APSD Disable
      Optimize AMPDU aggregation Disable
Modulation Scheme Up to MCS 11 (NitroQAM/1024-QAM)
      Airtime Fairness Disable

These are my settings for the 2.4 ghz band, under the professional tab in wifi. Prior to these changes even my LIFX lights would drop off, now they don't.

      • Thanks, i use eero routers and unfortunately can't change any settings… all of my 2.4ghz devices are fine, and alot of people online complain the same issue…
I think the wifi module is incompatible with some router chipsets…

    • You’re dead right. Their app is useless. Even finger print doesn’t work. Please avoid this.
