100% cashback only applies to the Basic plan (2-year, 1-year, monthly) which is for the VPN service only.

TA's Tips

  • A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your TopCashbackAU account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same TopCashbackAU account as always, and you're good to go.

  • Click/tap through TopCashbackAU, don't click/tap away to other sites looking for codes, don't use any 3rd party plugins, and avoid browsers such as Brave. Best to use the TopCashbackAU mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN is not instantaneous and may take a few hours.

  • All plans (discounted or not, excluding upsold products) are eligible for the increased cashback (2-year, 1-year, monthly). Remove up-sold products such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback. So unless you really need or want the extras, best option (IMHO) is to choose one of the Basic plans and not Plus or Complete.

  • A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.

  • And finally remember you have the safety net of NordVPN's 30-day money back guarantee. Should tracking fail or if you’re not happy with the product, I strongly suggest cancelling rather than submitting a claim as you're then in the hands of NordVPN's analytics for attribution.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback can only be earned by customers opening a new NordVPN account. Renewals are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is eligible on the VPN service only. Upsold products like NordPass & NordLocker are ineligible for cashback.
  • NordVPN is excluded from all signup and referral bonus thresholds. Reference the Tell-a-Friend terms for more information.
  • Cashback is ineligible on payments made with Crypto currency.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • NordVPN trades in US dollars meaning the purchase amount and the cashback amount tracked may vary due to conversion rates.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.

      You will not receive 100% cashback when you buy Plus or Complete as NordPass & NordLocker are ineligible for cashback.

      • Plus plan has NordPass password manager
      • Complete plan has both NordPass password manager and NordLocker cloud storage

    Noob question though, if the cashback is now on pending, is that it? Just wait a few months until its eligible for the money to be available for withdrawal? Or is there still a chance it might not track?

      @xtraricepls Pending cashback means your purchase has tracked. The status will turn from pending to confirmed, then payable. Info here on what the statuses mean.

      Wait a few months for the cashback to turn payable, then you can withdraw. My NordVPN cashback was payable in about 7.5 weeks. Payable time varies.

      When the transaction is first reported, it will be given a ‘Pending’ status. This means that the merchant has tracked your transaction and indicated the cashback to be awarded. They haven’t yet, however, confirmed that all criteria have been met or that they will actually send the cashback.

      After a certain number of weeks, your transaction will normally switch to ‘Confirmed’ status. This means that the merchant has pretty much agreed that all is fine with your transaction and your cashback will be forthcoming at some point. At this point, the merchant may not yet have been invoiced by their affiliate network (so your cashback will certainly not have yet reached us).

      At a later date still, the affiliate network will have invoiced the merchant and should have received your cashback. At this point your transaction will switch to ‘Payable’ status. Once your transaction has switched to Payable status, you can claim your cashback at any time. In other words, you can ask us to send your cashback to you at any time after your transaction has become Payable.

      I just add [email protected] (or whichever monYYYY I joined) to my main one so i can keep track.

      Ex. If my email is [email protected], i register with [email protected], it registers as a unique email and still goes into my [email protected] inbox.

      Proton mail has a restriction of 10 alias for free users, and Proton Mail Plus costs ~$40/year even with deal. The +blahblah method is not creating random email addresses (they would know your main email). If you are using Apple devices, iCloud+ could be the best option at $1.49/month for the basic plan (50GB storage + unlimited email aliases + Private Relay. And you can share those with your family, so basically $0.3pp/month). I've created 500+ emails from this.

    So i signed up to this for cashback and realised that i once had signed up to a trial in 2022 but never used it. When i checked with the support team ,they told me i would be inelegible for the cashback which was disappointing. So i cancelled and asked for a refund.         If you have already used your email for NordVPN, can't you just use the same email but add a dot. E.g. If you originally signed up to Nord with [email protected], can't you use [email protected]? Or would they count that as the same email address being used?

    i did mine yesterday. Cost my paypal account $142.49. TopCashback account which updated in like 2 hours now says $144.38. Happy with that :-)

            @Zapwap: it was an ANZ card. when i purchased on nord, it said something like $96 US at that time though i didn't look too closely at that number. the order receipt that i got from them after showed 142.49 AUD so i'm guessing that's the nordvpn USD to AUD conversion rate has played a part. at the end of the day, the topcashback amount is still more than i paid so still happy
