  • Can't seem to find any in SE QLD - all $369. Some up Townsville way though, nice find OP.

  • Time to upgrade your dusted Ozito circle saw.

To a Makita that is almost $330???? Joining/starting a whole new Eco System?

    Why wouldn't I just got and get a new one for $99? or get a a 184mm for $199?

      Quality!!

but the makita is lefthand drive. the body of the saw is on the offcut. The Ozitos are the right way round, far better user friendly saw to use.

Disagree. As a right handed person, it's easier when the blade is easily visible on the left side of the machine. Otherwise your looking over your arm/hand towards the outer side to see and line up a cut.

          • @eddyah: but how do you then use a carpenters sq. to do quick perfect cuts? the saw leans over with the offcut.

            • @mudguppy1: If you wanna be safe use a clamp. I use my left foot.

Yes my offcuts detach from the board as I cut, thus taking away the cutting surface. Not a problem for most framing things I do and I do a quick clean cut.

Bigger cuts you'd support both ways so no problem.

      • My Ozito tools are still going well after 6-7 years.

Do you know the meaning of the word "upgrade"?

      • +1

Yeah and upgrade also goes with expensive. Totally changing EcoSystems = Costly.

  • Good deal for this type of saw except 165mm can be a bit small unless you cut framing all the time. And if you are upgrading from an Ozito the direction of the saw makes it difficult for righties until (and if) you get used to it.
