One of the better wifi cameras, possibly all time low for this model, larger aperture and sensor for useful night vision without any additional lighting / ir. Might be able to get $10 off with a NAB card (NAB10). I no issues with the connection, app seems decent.

People used CCTV cameras for video astronomy before the advent of newer technology and when dedicated CCD astronomy cameras costed much more money. Now we have cheaper CMOS sensor cameras and its known as Electronically Assisted Astronomy, where people use for outreach and live viewing connected to a telescope.
It really depends on the sensitivity of the camera, and the ability of the software to leverage that.
