              1. Select Search on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes.

              2. At the command prompt, type powercfg /batteryreport, then press Enter.

              3. The battery report will be an HTML file that’s stored in a folder on your PC. The file location will be shown in the Command Prompt window.

              4. Open File Explorer, go to the folder that the report was saved to, and then double-click the battery report (HTML file) to open it in your web browser.

            @ripprind: Any five or six year old laptop that's been sitting around at 100% charge 24*7 (ie most corporate laptops) are going to be 70-80%.

            Nobody babies their laptop batteries (well, I do, but I'm an outlier).

      Always google the specs anyway, as used-computer sellers like this often get them wrong.

      But battery would be nice to know. Free returns with eBay plus if the battery is not up to "very good" condition.

        I know that, but do you aware that our 3 Telcos had blanketly blocked all non-approved 4g devices based on whitelist TAC - people have reported lifts, vending machines, 4g modem suddenly not working any more.
