Yes, there was a time where you could find these for 99-110 pretty regularly but seems like those days might be behind us.
That said I wouldn't run out to get one of these for $129Unfortunately yeah, trying to find one of these for less than rrp was near impossible. Hopefully they have a $99 deal before the HomePod mini 2 is released

100% am holding off. I have 6 Alexa devices I want to change, and I am hedging bets Siri AI is not that far away seeing what IOS18.2B4 is showing. But I can't imagine current Gen Homepods being powerful enough
I don’t believe they are planning to do on device AI for the HomePods.
The reason I am saying this is because it requires a fair amount of memory and GPU processing power to run the AI model.So HomePods will likely just do remote request to Apple servers instead.
Yeah, I think its more that they'll need to have another device in the home/homekit.
Saying all this, homepods are Apples forgotten child and likely years away.
