Personally I think the premium is mostly for access to the Apple ecosystem. The Airpods can seamlessly connect between your Apple devices that would otherwise be cumbersome with other bluetooth headphones. Plus other features that are only available in the Apple ecosystem. Also Apple warranty is one of the best still. Would not make much sense otherwise
I'm all in for the Apple eco system too but honestly switching devices wasn't that hard using regualr bluetooth pairing.
Correct, it's not hard but it does simplify things. And in some circumstances, the convenience is quite helpful eg. watch Apple TV and answer a call on the phone without manually switching Bluetooth. Another plus is that it also allows 2 x Airpods to connect to an Apple device at the same time
But agreed, if you're not looking to use these functions, it's just a pricey earphone
@John: My Jabra Elite 10 connect to 2 devices, so I can be watching/listening to my LG TV, and then answer a call on my iPhone without switching bluetooth.
Never tried to connect 2 bluetooth headsets to the same device.
Reminds me of the early iPhone days when people had these low end android phones that ‘could do whatever the iPhone does’
I use these with my mac and galaxy, i always have volume issues when i switch devices. wish they release a app to adjust volume for android.
I have 3 brand new surplus pairs of these :/ Any good use for them?
Trip to Chernobyl to grow some more ears.
How do we access the 10% off @buyerbee's gift cards? Can you share a weblink?
Thank you
I’ve had 4x complete failures of Apple AirPods from Gen 1 to 1st gen Pro. I even took them to Apple and they confirmed complete failure but it was outside warranty (i should have went there earlier when they were still under warranty). My daughter gave me a fake pro set and they honestly work better and more reliable than my pros. They also work with find my and Apple eco system, wireless charging as well. The apple ones are completely overpriced at $300 imho, even at $100 why wouldn’t you just buy fakes ? I’m not sure that all fake Air Pods work well but mine are better than genuine Apple. That’s the honest truth.
I’ve had 2 failures, but not even sure what it was as I always bring my apple stuff in for diagnostic check before warranty is over. They just failed the test even though it was working fine for me. Both occasions I get free replacement and renewed warranty periods. Never had experience with fakes but if there’s one that works as good as the genuine one at fraction of the price I’d definitely consider it, problem is, how easy to spot one?
