    Any deals for a Smart DC fan with light?
    Something that can be connected to Google Home ideally

      Hi DoomTrooper we don't currently have any with smart functionality built it directly, however we do have quite a few where you can get a smart module to make them smart. The Radical fan that we have listed here can work with the Hunter Pacific smart module , they do either a Tuya based one or a Pixie based on depending on which you prefer.

      These will also work with most of the other Hunter Pacific smart fans as well if you prefer something a bit different, we have these all reduced at the moment to. Otherwise there is also the Eglo Surf and Ventair Skyfan which are both excellent fans that can be made smart with a similar type of module. I'd be happy to help you find which one will be the best option for you if you like.

    Do you need to buy downrod separately or is it included, if included. What size

      Hi raj76 the fans all include only a short rod which brings the entire fan drop to around 30cm-35cm typically (though it can vary) if you did need a longer downrod then you would need to purchase one. Each brand has a specific rod that they make for their fan models so sadly there isn't a generic one that will fit any fan. If there was a specific fan you were after we can see if we have the rods available at the moment.

    Currently have AC fan with wall switch, will I be able to replace it with a DC fan?

      Hi panadol520 you certainly can, usually what will happen is that where the current wall controller is the electrician will put a regular on/off switch (like a light switch) which you pretty much keep on all the time, this will give power to the fan (and light if you get a combined one) then the remote control of the fan will take over. Unless there was something unusual with the initial installation or major problems with the wiring, there shouldn't need to be any big changes.

    Hi, im looking at the eglo bondi. Would you have a link for the remote control as i cant seem to find it.
    Im stuck between the eglo bondi or stradbroke. Bondi with more airflow and stradbroke being DC. Thank you.

      Hi reacha-rnd here is the link to the Bondi Remote Kit.

      I would say it depends on where the fan is going and whether you prefer stronger airflow or a quieter fan.

      The Stradbroke would probably be better for a bedroom since being DC it should run a bit quieter (less noticeable motor hum you sometimes can hear with an AC fan on low) also having more speeds might be more comfortable at night, especially with the night mode speed which takes it down to a very gentle slow speed.

      The Bondi on the other hand might be better for like a living room or outdoor area where you'd probably never be able to hear the AC hum and you want to have maximum airflow.

      We usually find that in a bedroom most people value having the option for a slower gentle speed as most customers tell us they never really ever run the fan on full speed, so the Stradbroke, while having less airflow overall might still be better. While the Bondi is still a good option and having more airflow if you'd never really run the fun on full then you don't really need such a high airflow fan. In this case you may find that you run the Bondi on speed 1 nearly always while with the Stradbroke you may need to run it on speed 2 or 3, but at least you can still go lower or higher if needed.

      However there are of course always exceptions, if you love to feel a strong airflow on you then the Bondi would be the way to go.

    Which fans are suitable for angled ceilings?

    Hi watts the Stradbroke can go on an angled ceiling of up to 15°, the Radical however as is can only be installed on a flat ceiling, however Hunter Pacific have made a angled ceiling kit which replaces the canopy and bracket that comes with the fan and lets you go up to 38°.

    Quite a lot of fans can go on some angled ceiling however that can vary a bit, the ones that can't usually have an angled ceiling kit that can work with them, though there are a few exceptions. If you are after a slightly different fan to these and know the angle of your ceiling we'd be happy to make a few recommendations. We can also help with working out the angle as well if you like, all we need to know is the height of the ceiling on the tall end, the short end and the distance between them.

        That kit only comes with the bigger bracket and canopy without an additional rod, however we do have the compatible 90cm extension rod available to, they can be also cut down too if 90cm is a bit too long.

      Hi RedPanda the Radical 3 would be a great choice for an outdoor area, they are designed to be for indoor, outdoor and also coastal locations provided that they won't be in direct contact with water and that they are fully undercover.
