Does anyone has thoughts which clothes airer is the better product for drying? 3 Tier Clothes Airer or Winged Clothes Airer ? Please ignore the cost. Thanks!

    • Judging by the reviews, the winged one looks a better option. I have a similar one from Bunnings and it has proved quite sturdy. I'd be worried about the tall one toppling over in a bit of wind.

      Winged. No contest

Sabco has been a half decent brand for me
Indoor use should last for years but outdoors, the sun will degrade the plastics and I wouldn't recommend leaving it outside for any longer than neccesary.

Look for the ratings and product details if ever unsure…

My parent have this one. the good thing is that it is compact and can go in almost all corners of their home. The limitations are that because the tiers are not that far away from each other, longer items of clothes may droop into the tier below. This makes the drying time longer, and not as consistent. the sun can also only hit one side at a time and that is quite limiting as 3 t-shirts can cover one side on all tiers.

We this, and honestly it is the best one we've had. very sturdy and the upper rack can dry about 5 or more shirts in one go.

Depends whether you are drying clothes outdoor or indoors. I have both. This 3 tier clothes airer regularly falls over when I come home. I would say the winged ones are better for outdoors. This 3 tier one is good for indoor only.

      • Wow, how much wind do you generate?

        • Lol. I don't generate any wind. When you load up the airer with clothes, it becomes almost like a mini parachute. Maybe if you zip tie some sand bags to the legs, it will stop them from falling over.

@geek001: Ha! I put a dumbbell (not my son) on mine on very windy days.

            • @Kid A: Well, at least you have the foresight to do that. Is it weird that I am somewhat impressed?

              • +2

@geek001: Well this was only after it had already fallen over twice. So maybe temper your excitement.

Don't buy any of these, they will get rust anyway.

    • I am agree with you. The stainless one is easy to get rust.
I have bad experience. Looking at the price so cheap I was about to buy one but I read it stainless steel.
If it white coated one I would buy one because I usually just leave it on my balcony.

      • yeah, if it has coated, i would like to try.

btw, i tried the expensive brand around 80aud, and got same result (rusted).

        • Yeah we had learn our lessons.

  • Kmart has a $35 version of the winged one, I've had a couple of these from marketplace and the plastic eventually breaks. But I'll grab this $20 one.

    • good move. they are great value at $20

  • not in stock in vic

  • Oh well. I had this on click to collect, and they rang this morning to say they no longer had any in stock.
