wow - how'd they get away with that one?
Before you buy, be aware hisense have terrible longevity and terrible customer service where they believe they are exempt from australian consumer law.
I'm sitting on three dead hisenses now, one died just outside of warranty, one died a year after warranty and one died 6 months from the warranty ending.
They are daring me to take it to consumer affairs and accusing us of abusing the warranty system.
My Hisense has been used for 5 years without any problems. Now I just want a bigger one. I remember seeing a data somewhere (I haven't verified the reliability) that Hisense's return rate is relatively low. If you have encountered such problems with all three TVs, it would be terrible. Hisense has a 3-year manufacturer warranty, while as I know, many brands such as Samsung and Panasonic only have one year.
Bought one today. Looks nice
Also obligatory disclaimer from rtings: "There are similarly-named international models, like the U7NAU in Australia, but these models perform differently from the North American U7N, so our results aren't valid for them."
