      It doesn't look like better IMO. You can compare it with the Myer own brand digital control 4.5L one for $49 or this for $29.

      It seems digital control is better than mechanical knobs as the upgraded Philips 2000 series is.

        They look pretty comparable, capacity and wattage (100w difference, this being higher at 1500w). If the photos are accurate, both have analogue dials to control the time and temp. Both have the Rapid Air technology.

      Go and watch some video reviews of the two models. The fryer baskets on the two models are slightly different.

      The pictures would suggest the 1000 has dials and the 2000 has a digital screen.
