After 4 years and hundreds of uses, my mistral 10l air fryer from aus post died. Decided to splurge and get a big ninja one to replace it. IMO it’s a good buy at this price. In comparison, the ninja has more features, seems to be better finished/materials etc but does the same job. I’m hoping it lasts longer as was 3 times the price

    • Do you like the overly loud beep on every button press? Some masochists in these comments say they're actually fans of it

      • I haven’t really noticed yet. Only used it a few times. Will listen out for it now!

        • I'm sorry to have clued you in to it. We have a Ninja and that's my biggest negative, but aside from that it's a good unit. Hope you still enjoy it :)

  • Does this have a basket or just a base in it? It says: Easy to clean detachable non-stick basket with rack

  • I found that but it does not say if its a basket onside or just a flat tray

No basket. Just the one big drawer with a flat tray inside.

I got the 9.6L from aldi, looks pretty much exactly same. Best air fry I've ever use. The window is awesome, I'll never buy one without window now. Also I've had it for one year and the windows is still perfectly clean so doesn't stain.

Coles have a 10L window fryer for $99 which I think is a better size.

Some Coles stores have reduced the price. I picked up the last one at Patterson Lakes today for $49.

      • Really. I would have bought a second backup one for that price.

I don't remember seeing any with windows, and now feel stupid for buying one without. Makes so much sense to have a window.. i open mine every couple minutes to look at the food

      • I'll never buy one without window now I've had a Windowed one.

  • The 10litre of this is decent had a few years no problems, wished it would go on sale again def buy another

  • Thanks OP, bought one

  • I assume the tray from this air fryer does not go in the dishwasher? (unlike the Kmart ones and ninja). I say that because it's not mentioned on the Bunnings page, and the manual just talks about hand washing.

I got one. Never had an air fryer before but love it so far.

Only complaint is it only goes up to 200 deg. I think others go a bit hotter.

    • I went to a bunnings store but there was no display unit in the store so I need to research more before I carry this home.
Is it noisy when it's running? what is the actual temperature range you can set? 200 deg is OK for me, just need to spend longer time to cook.

      • I would say it's a bit noisy when running, yes. Not sure how noisy compared to other models. The button beep is really loud.

You can set from 30-80 in dehydrate mode, and then 80 to 200 in regular mode. I would rarely want to have it over 200 but there has been the odd thing I just wanted to smash with high heat at the end (pork belly).

For the money I'm happy. As a first-time air fryer owner, I love it and use it all the time. I would have bought one ages ago if they had called them "really powerful, fast, convenient, easy to clean convection oven" instead of air fryers.

Still reckon nothing beats immersing food in hot saturated trans-fats.

        • Haha yes, same here. I didn't know how this thing works until I tried my friend's air fryer in her kitchen last year. This thing is really a game changer.
I just hope to get a model that’s less noisy, as it takes a long time when in cooking mode, so I can prepare my meals peacefully.
