Not sure… I've built one and it seems to still be standing..? My 2 pet peeves with this build:
- The wing mechanism is a bit fidgety, but it's still pretty nice to be able to open and close the wings with a knob.
- The way the maroon pieces fit onto the wing feels dodgy… almost an illegal build technique.
Apart from that it's a pretty nice build.
As per usual, with a lot of complaints about UCS sets, it's a case of brainlets expecting play features/swooshability from a set like this and going: "hurrr durrrr you're telling me I can't even rattle around a UCS display-only set like a blind gorilla without pieces falling off??!? Wtf Lego are sh!t now!!!1!
If you simply build this set and leave it on display on a shelf, it will absolutely stay together, look great and serve its intended purpose.
Remember to do the Target newsletter subscription to get the $10 off code.
Meanwhile, I used the code with LEGO 42179 (Technic Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit) to bring that down to $66.
LEGO classic batmobile on Amazon now $188.
According to BrickHawk this is ATL, 33% off.
Lots of bad (recent) reviews. Is it the build or a skill issue?
