  • And inflatable RRP.

    • not really, currently on sale $399 USD in the US website ~= $615 AUD

  • is this a good isup model?

    • Plenty of reviews, and currently priced similar to unknown brands

  • I saw Decathlon has a discount from $399 to $139 for one entry level SUB. Not sure about the quality though

  • Currently looking for one for my daughter but 11’ 4” is a bit of a whopper for someone 5’ 2”. The 10’ 4” looks to have sold through, unfortunately. I was leaning towards one of the 10’ ROC inflatables on Amazon but it’s a real minefield out there.

    • It's still available through the link I provided at the bottom. You'll need to select the other pattern

      • Ah ha. Thanks.

Length probably less of an issue than the width…34" is huge. This is a big board. Very stable as a result, but slower and requiring a little more offset when paddling than a 32 or 30 inch inflatable SUP.

Good for beginners a little unsure about balance, and simply messing about on the water (and it should cope with two reasonably light people quite well). Harder and slower to paddle than something narrower. Price is good, though these Wulf boards have been getting discounted for a while - as I understand it they are one of the lighter built boards in Bote's range.

$299 seems pretty low risk though….especially if it's just for fun. The Bote Wulf has been on discount pretty much for the past year or two though? The RRP is silly, but asking price here is good.

      • Thanks, that's helpful. Would the Wulf be better than this, you think? https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B079FYRYDK

Probably similar quality really…but I've never seen either in person. If you can find any review online where there is a deflection test, that will tell you something about the materials and quality - at this level though…good luck finding that.

For a larger rider like myself, I'd go with the Bote. For youth, I'm probably leaning towards the ROC as I expect it may be a little easier to handle. The ROC may or may not track as well as the Bote (it has two additional fixed fins where the Bote has just the main fin, but the Bote is longer - just going by the profile though I'd think the ROC will turn quite a lot away from the paddling side). The ROC will hold less weight, despite the higher 'load limit'…you can't get around displacement, and it's a simple fact that one board is 10ft by 33" and 6" thick, and the other is 11'4" by 34" by 6" thick.

Seems to have some decent feedback on the ROC.

Yeah…sorry. Hard to call without real world experience, but if I was getting this for my child to learn on I'm sort of leaning to the ROC.
