      Be aware the colour timing is wrong for the first 20mins in the Kino Lorber version. It’s fixed in the Arrow UK release.

    Edge of Tomorrow is also $22.18. Cheapest I have seen in along time.

    I can’t see a reason to buy this one when the AU version is at JB for cheaper right now. Does the UK stock have any different features?

      Nice I didn't even see that. I was just buying the James Bond collection and noticed a few of the others for sale.
      Definitely buy LOTR from JB! I don't believe there is a difference…

    This box set has been a shed load cheaper than this in the past so IMHO this isn't really a deal.

      Yeh or wait for 2 for 1 deals for it, JB seems to have every year around May

      I got the LOTR and Hobbit UHD trilogy sets for $90 total from memory

      Just the movies.
      LOTR Extended 4k set is 9 discs.
      For 4K, each movie is spread across 2x 4K discs, and then there is the extended edition also on Bluray.
      Haven't checked the Bluray disc for extra's though.
      Hobbit Extended 4K set is 6 discs, 1x Bluray, 1x 4K for each film.

      My understanding is PS5 blu-ray drive is region locked but most if not all 4K Blu-Ray movies are region free. That means you’d need to be careful if buying standard Bluray movies from UK for example, but should not have to worry about 4K movies like in this deal.

      Anyway it’s best to double check the listings. Amazon is normally quite good with the region compatibility in the description.

      And you won't be making use of the dolby vision of the discs.

      Edit: my rec (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/panasonic-dp-ub820-4k-ult…) for the best 4k player for the price point. I bought back when it was $440 a few years ago, but we won't be seeing those prices anytime soon.
