The Lamy Safari fountain Pen is a great beginner fountain pen, if you want to start writing with fountain ink pens or are coming back to it after years.
This is the first time I have observed it with a 50% discount and I have been checking in on the prices since past couple of years. I bought a fine nib one at full price 2 years ago at $45 and this is way lower than that.($27.5). With standard post shipping, it comes to ~ $34.35 - still a steal in my opinion.

The shipping is free for orders above $59 & for below $59, it's $6.85.

Definitely a good buy. Don't forget to buy the convertor for refills (https://www.bunbougu.com.au/products/lamy-z28-fountain-pen-c…) as the pen only comes with a single-use cartridge.
3 versions are on 50% off
* Aqua Sky https://www.bunbougu.com.au/products/lamy-safari-fountain-pe…
* Light Rose https://www.bunbougu.com.au/products/lamy-safari-fountain-pe…
* Spring Green https://www.bunbougu.com.au/products/lamy-safari-fountain-pe…
and 2 more at 30% off.

I made an account specifically to post the deal cause it was too good to not share.

P.S: Go for a Fine or Medium nib if this is your first time. Medium is their top seller but personally I am more comfortable with a fine one as my writing is big and medium nib takes even more space.

Got a report for sock puppeting, had to look up what it meant. In case it wasn't clear, I am not affiliated with the company, just another pen enthusiast.

    For those that are interested $27.25 with the code plus $6.95 postage (to Tassie).

    Cheaper ($24.62 or $25.94 for medium/fine nib) + free delivery for Prime members via Amazon Germany.

    • To be fair, only one of the colourways in your link is an LE, and none of the OP's listed colours (all 3 of which are LE) are there. Not that Lamy LEs are particularly limited…

      • Absolutely, some people may be after specific colour. Another good thing about this deal is that it seems a converter is much cheaper than anything what’s available on Amazon.

    The Safari is a nice pen, but the Al-Star would be my choice if you can get it. I have both the Safari (for work) and the Al-Star (at home) - the Al-Star feels weightier due to being aluminum and is all around nicer to hold as its got nicely rounded edges on the barrel.

    Both write great, as I'm pretty sure the only difference is the body and cap.

    You can pick up a Bronze Al-Star off Amazon (delivered from Germany) for $29.37 with Prime at the moment.'

    Just don't do what I did and drop it nib first on the floor and bend it!

    • Ooh, nice! Thanks for sharing that!
      I don't do well with metal body pens, makes my already wonky-cursive even worse. (╥﹏╥). But that's a good tip for anyone else buying stuff.

      • I have both (& multiples thereof). I marginally prefer the ABS pens - but the AL-Stars do come in lovely colours.

        Very much the easiest pen to learn (or get back to) wet ink writing (and yes, my handwriting is wonky at best). I started again when taking lecture notes as I was faster and didn't dig into the paper page so much when thinking too hard!

  • i no longer use mine, but great beginner pen. i almost have all the lamy pens, but currently using and loving the titanium imporium for work and mb for home office.

  • I bought a set from this deal.
