Dunno why anyone would neg/defend Amazon on this. They chuck a drive in a baggie in a shoe box and let it bounce its way around the world.

I've bought 3 drives from Amazon US and the packaging was so good I kept the boxes and all the packaging for reuse later.
Have brought 2 of these from Amazon US. Both packaged well with heaps of padding.

Very tempted for HDD diversity. But the Ironwolf Pro 20TB ST20000NT001’s I got from East Digital @ AUD 378/ea work perfectly fine.

I have 2 more in the same boat as yours but still saying it will arrive a few days later than the first one. I think next 2 days you will be told cleared customs maybe.
@Budju: Just shipped as I checked this morning, but what worries me is that they send it under 1 parcel despite having two different orders. So hopefully I won't get ping with duty import…
@cloudie9: LOL. Glad you got yours in the end. I can tell you, mine was exactly the same. I took a photo unless it was needed for evidence. I can upload but yours is identical.
I put it in the NAS quick smart and it was scanned and confirmed as 'good'. Best we can hope for I suppose. Keep some record in your email or cloud drive in case the 5 year warranty is needed to be accessed is all I can say.
Wasn't so pleased at the packing but I pray the box inserts kept the boy safe and sound.
@Budju: Yeah I think its not too bad that it is still in the retail box just no bubble. But, I will do the testing tomorrow as I still need to clean my good ol DS918+, a bit dusty.
