PCI-e 4.0 TLC SSD with 4GB DRAM. Sequential Read Speed: 7400MB/s - Sequential Write Speed: 6700MB/s. Also comes with a free heatsink.

I've been on the lookout for a decent 4TB SSD with DRAM, had been holding out for another SN850X deal but I think I'll jump on this.

1% surcharge for all payments except BPAY.

Overpriced, but still cheap compared to other prices now

    • Dang, I want a Time Machine. What’s the ballpark lowest 4TB has been?

The InnoGrit IG5236 controller is so bad that even PCPartPicker wrote a warning blog when trying to benchmark the drives

Ah damn, there goes my plan of using this as a boot drive. Back to waiting for a SN850X deal it is. Thanks for calling it out.

      Appropriate username by the way!

      • same , waiting for sn850x. isnt it due for a new version?

Look at the Kingston Fury Renegade also. They go on special here and there. Near indentical to the WD SN850x. Plus it even outperforms it under heavy workloads.

Make sure you read all the reports and reddit threads of the controller errors etc after a year. I'm going to keep waiting for the SN850X (eventhough I don't need it)
