  • Pixel 9 Pro is more expensive than the Pro XL… why no 9 Pro sale…

    • It's probably the best selling model, so very little stock.

      • I think it is because of the 9 Pro stock issues (I don't think they're outselling the 9 Pro XL) and did they have a slightly delayed launch? Its still completely stupid that their flagship model is cheaper than the smaller model…logic would dictate you would discount it as well.

      • Wonder how many Pixel 9 Pro buyers thought it would be the same size as the Pixel 6/7/8 Pro only to realize they've been scammed and it's a mini phone instead.

unidays 15% off does not seem to stack. i imagine studentbeans is the same. womp womp

          • @jimojr: So for example what's the cheapest you can get a pixel 9 pro XL for using the best combination of unidays/studentbeams/welcomecode + google one cash back credit? Sorry it's just very confusing for me haha

            • @YourImag1nat1on: I think I misunderstood jimojr, he means you can stack the welcome code or the unidays code, but it's better to stack the welcome code, making it A$1,264.10 for the cheapest Pixel 9 Pro XL 128GB

  • +1

So JB, GG, Officeworks all cheaper? Typically by $2 e.g. for 8a and 9

    • +2

With $60 bonus gift cards at JB and Harvey Norman

    • And more or less people have stocked some JB gc

Unknown if Unidays/Student Beans codes will stack (none in megathread)

I posted some a few minutes before this deal, you can try with those

There were also a bunch of new 5% off codes which I didn't bother posting, but on unidays it explicitly mentions black friday for them, so combined with lachlantula's comment presumably only those ones will stack with this deal

I just went to test one of the two bottom "Pixel Buds" codes against the A-Series but had the tablet+dock in my cart. The code applied to the tablet instead taking 5% off (of the original price) as follows:

Google Pixel Tablet and Charging Speaker Dock Hazel 128 GB
      Qty: 1
      A$554.05 - (full price shown as A$899.00)
      Save on your Pixel purchase!
      -A$44.95
Save on Pixel Tablet and Dock
      -A$300.00

I have removed the code as I likely won't order a tablet, so it's free to use.
      EDIT: Also works on P9PF, P9PXL, P8a, PBuds A-series. Doesn't work on PBP2, PW3, PW2.

      • Good price, I just wish the porcelain was in stock.

Its interesting the dock itself won't discount.

    • Is this single use code or multiple?

    • Thank you!

    • Thank you! Pro XL case also in stock!

    • Good price, however gave up on Pixel cases a while ago. All Pixels in our household are Spigen'd - very good fit, screen edge protection and long lasting.

    • The power button of my 7Pro official case sunk after 6 months.
Never buy an official case again.

Pixel tablet is like $200 cheaper at JB

    • +2

      Price match?
Google store is too greedy. Their sale is always a joke.

  • +6

    Underwhelming

  • +3

I wished they have Pixel 8 back in stock.

  • Damn, buds deal is not great.

  • Thinking of buying a watch 2.
My only complaint about PW1 is sometimes it's too slow, especially when activating tap 2 pay

    • I've had both. The PW2 is a big improvement over the PW1.

      • Sadly they do not provide trade in for watches in aus

        • pretty poor form. What do you do with the old ones? sell on eBay or just recycle bin?

          • @neonlight: All my old digital craps lie in my drawer, idk how to deal with them.

  • Ha. Even google knows that Pixel 9 Pro is what people want over Pixel 9 Pro XL.

    https://store.google.com/config/pixel_9_pro

    Pixel 9 Pro from $1,699 (128gb)
    Pixel 9 Pro XL from $1449 (128gb)

    • Is there a particular reason for this other than people just prefer smaller phones?

We need to upgrade my partners and although she doesnt need the XL it makes sense due to sales.

      • There are already plenty of large phones with flagship specs to pick from, but very limited selection of smaller flagship phone.

So the XL is cheaper to entice people to pick it out of the other large phones.

      • Only Google and Apple make (almost) non-compromise smaller flagships today

      • Yes.
Smaller profile is easier to fit into pockets, use with one hand and is also lighter.
In saying that I got the Pro XL because of sales and due to the weight balancing I don't find it overly hard to use with one hand. Might be harder to use if you have smaller hands.

        • I have larger hands but a slight smaller 9 Pro is quite handy, even if I had use 6.7" phone's for years

      • The reason it didn't go on sale with the rest is probably because that they've just completed their launch deals for the P9P and it only released end of October (less than 30 days ago I think). The P9P XL came out with the rest of the P9 line-up at the end of August.

It's likely they just shipped a bunch of the P9P. I'm guessing that running a sale on it immediately will annoy people that just bought one (and is there a price drop guarantee that might trigger?). It could also cause shipping delays, considering they had to delay the launch to begin with for most countries. Plus retailers tend to follow the same prices and may not like that due to similar reasons like price drop guarantees, and it sets a pattern of "don't buy at launch, in less than 30 days we'll cut prices".

The launch deals with unidays 15% off made a P9P $1,444 plus $450 bonus store credit back (great for getting earbuds or paying for most of a pixel watch, or putting towards a second phone for your partner), plus highly boosted trade-in for older pixels (I got $600 for a P6P). If they did the same discounts for BF for the P9P as they are the XL, including a unidays 5% code, best you get is $1214.05 outright with no store credit bonus. Not overwhelmingly better. Only way that is better is if you didn't want accessories or another phone and then, you can just buy elsewhere or wait a bit for christmas sales.

The conspiracy theories about the XL being cheaper because everyone bought the small phone are inane.

  • Needing 5% unidays codes if anything can provide please?

    • VSSATYO3DFG1L8HE89BCK7Y

      GY92CDMDMFZE9OU9DJ3L2C1

  • Ehhh, was holding out for a good deal on the Pixel 9 Pro to replace my Pixel 6.. this whole sale is a bit underwhelming.
Maybe I'll HODL until Pixel 10 at this point

    • The launch deals were quite good. How did you miss that?

      • They didn't have much stock of Pixel 9 Pro at launch, it came out much later and I thought black Friday would have been better savings.
Also not too keen on receiving Google credits, because I know I'd be like many people that posted on here that didn't spend them

  • Does not seem like any other discount can stack. The 10% welcome offer just disappeared for me

  • Anyone able to DM me a 5% unidays code if possible please :)

  • Would anyone be able to DM me a code please? 🙏 Thank you!

  • Hi guys,
Looking for a discount code as well. Plz DM if you got 1.
    Thanks

  • Could someone please DM me a 5% unidays code for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Thanks

  • can someone DM me 5% unidays for Pixel 9 Pro XL/ Pixel Watch 3 45mm please?

  • Can someone please share a unidays code for pixle 9 ? Thanks in advance.

  • I'm also requesting a unidays code of anyone has one to spare, pm me please.

  • Does anyone have a spare Uniday code please for Pixel Watch 3 that they are not using? Appreciate it please DM me

  • Can I use the welcome 10% with 5% unidays code? how does it work when you log into the google store? I am looking at getting the Pixel Pro XL 256gb and Pixel 8a and the extra 5% would help. If anyone has a code that would be great, thank you

    • Looks like the 10% code cannot be used with other codes - read the T& C on checkout. Nowhere to add in another code
