Was looking at the recent Shark Steam and Scrub Mop deal, people have asked previously how it compares with the Tineco. Multiple models of the Tineco on sale for All Time Lows too. Some users have commented on poor battery health/life, do your relevant research. The S5 is corded FYI.

    No cordless steam?

Seems not, I'm no expert in this field but seems very rare for a true steamer to be cordless. Must be too high power draw to be worthwhile?

    • JB HiFi have the S7 Steam (which is cordless) for $778 - Which is already a better deal than the normal S7 from Amazon.

      • is the steam model better than a non steam model? The non steam one has a higher RRP

        • Technically yes. They’re basically the same just with added steam function.

RRPs are a bit wonky because the brand used to be exclusive to Godfrey’s and now competition has opened up.

Just note not to use the steam function on flooring other than tiles.

I’ve since bought the S7 steam and quite impressed with the results on my hybrid flooring (without using the steam).

          • @SanguinarySeraph: Should not use steam on hybrid flooring? Will it cause issues?

            • @niyaz006: Haven't experienced first hand, but everything I read is that steam cleaners (or at least the ones producing serious steam anyway) are only really for tiles. Hybrid, Vinyl, Laminate and Timber can all suffer issues from moisture due to the steam getting into the cracks, and the top vinyl layers of Hybrid etc can lift due to the heat melting the adhesives.

  • Love this machine - have tried at least half a dozen over the past 10 years and have kept this one the longest. Yes it's corded but its powerful and cleans very well. I found cordless steamers don't last very long.

Harvey Norman have the S6 flashdry for $595 which is $70 more than the S6 all in one from Amazon. Can't tell if it is just the head drying tech that is the difference or something else. Actually finding a comparison matrix for tineco products is super hard, AU website doesn't even have most models (or is broken on mobile at least).

    • Thanks mate, got one yesterday. Domayne had it for the same price with a 10% of purchase price back in gift cards. So if i play my cards right it ends up being $6.50 for the flashdry which I thought was worth the upgrade.

  • Paid $449 last December. Excellent product, nothing cleans my floors better and no harsh chemicals, just water!

Sorry for sounding like an ad lol.

    • Which model to buy ?

      • If you're ok with a cord, the main one listed, s5 steam.

Roborock Flexi Lite is $299. I trust them more than Tineco

Does it steam like this one?

      • +1

No. Only the S5 STEAM does steam. But it is cord.

  • I bought this a few weeks ago. Overall, good product but not amazing. The voice alerts are good for the first couple of uses, then they are turned off and never used again.

  • Can it be used to clean a carpet floor?

  • Got S5 one cordless

  • iFloor 5 down to $299 now

    • Thanks, updated.
