  • Whats the xbox series x price for jbhifi bf deal tommorow?

  • I'm a newbie, any way to make use of the 1200$ gift card to get a pixel 9 pro fold?

    • Yeah you can use it to buy the phone its just a jb gift card. Or you can cancel it for $800 and get $400 off the phone.

      • +2

Is that still the case with this listed in the offer terms?

"The $1200 JB Hi-Fi Gift Card will replace the value of the Voucher stated in the Critical Information Summary."

        • -3

You are correct, you will need to pay $1,200 to cancel.

        • +4

It's said that the whole time on all of these offers and everytime the same misinformation gets spread. The CIS does not change regardless of what gift card offer you get. All the telstra rep sees on their end when you talk on the chat is that you're cancelling a $99 plan that has a maximum voucher repayment of $800. I've personally cancelled multiple services and paid $799 each time regardless of gift card amount.

      • +1

Just to clarify because this is the first time I read about this:
        1 - You subscribe
2 - Cancel on the same day
3- You still receive the $1,200 gift card, making $400 in the process.

Is this correct? And are there any other costs involved?
        Thank you!

        • +1

2.5 You’re billed $99 for the first month and every month to infinity or until you cancel.

          • @beach bum: Not always. If you're an existing telstra customer with direct debit already set up on your account, they won't instantly charge you for the 1st month. That's how you get the 799 cancellation fee instead of the 99 1st month plus 766 cancellation.

            • +1

@Ghadi: Yes thats true , I forgot about that if you have multiple telsra services.

          • @beach bum: Thanks @beach bum. So you effectively get $301 for the deal? Not bad!

            • +1

@Sebajun: Unless you don’t use the sim and ask telsra/jb for a refund of the first month after you cancel the service.
You can just look up previous jb/telsra deals if you want a step by step guide to all the tricks.

Suspect the $1200 GC deal will be replaced with $1400 deal on the 28th

    • It’s been a long time between drinks

      • +1

Nearly time to play "JB hi-fi mobile plans" bingo again. Can't wait. CIS be damned!

    • Still patiently waiting for a deal of the iPhone 16 Pro. Not sure for how long.

      • Probably quite a long time

    • Probably it’s 79/89 bucks per month with 1000/1100 GC. Maybe

    • Was it ever $1400? The best I have ever seen is $1200.

    • The $1200GC at $89 deal would be even better. Only happened once and now would be the time for it to happen again.

    • What are the chances? I’m planning to take 3 plans but wondering is it worth waiting till 28th or what if I wait and the deal is gone after 27th 😅

  • Is the plan for 12months or 24?

    • +6

      1 day if your smart

      • +2

        0/ nill day if you're cost-conscious

        • Any calculations for canceling the plan and the final price we have to give for the iPhone 16 pro?

      • 24 months if you want the plan.

  • Link to catalog?

    • -1

There is no link. OP is posting random old deals.

Can I use JB gift card and some other gift cards (i.e. Ultimate) in the same transaction?

    • +2

In-store yes, online also yes but depending on how many you need to convert the ultimate/tcn card to JB e-gift card

    • +1

Let me grab my ball* to find out

      -
      -
      -
      -

      (* crystal ball*)

On a serious note: yes it is possible.. I've done this myself not long ago - same cards (JB & Ultimate).
Both cards are considered a form of currency/ money.

    • +1

Yes, I tired to use westfield GC, JB GC and TCN GC in transaction bill in store, it works.

  • +1

Silly question but cant seem to locate on the jb site… is this for the disc version?

    • -1

No disk version of $99 plan

    • +1

Yes. Slim comes with a removable disc drive you can remove and sell for $250 these days, as Pro owners are desperate for them.

    • Yes.

      Slim Digital will be $549.

Any sale on the 2TB model?

  • So if I'm already with JB mobile (cause I did something similar two years ago) this won't work. There isn't a way to capitalise on this now for the $1200 gift card I'm guessing?

    • New number?

    • Just ask for new number that you will cancel again

  • I got the $1200 gift card deal last month. Can I do it again?

    • -1

      Why so greedy?

      • +4

There were $1700 vouchers and $350 gift cards available last month on the one deal.
The better question would be “ Why not “.

        • Exactly

      • As if this deal is running out lmfao.

    • Yes, you can

  • What reason is everyone using to get the first month’s plan charge refunded?

  • Can someone provide a link or screenshot of the $1200 Gift Card on $99/Mth 300GB Mobile Plan?

  • So the ps5 pro doesnt come with a disc drive, which you need to buy separately, but cant because theres no stock?

    • With the $1200 voucher, buy pro and disc model, add the disc drive to the pro and sell the non-pro ps5 without disc drive.

      • +1

Thats ridicilous that people have to go to that much effort.

  • Just a reminder, the PS5 with disk was $505 with Spiderman 2 (disc) as well about a. Year ago.

    • +2

They were clearing out the fat ones.

  • Do you guys think its better to hold of for the $99 plan, someone mentioned the giftcard offer could go upto $1400.

    • Maybe!

    • It's also been at $89 with the $1200GC before. Could happen again.

      • +1

JB will 99% have this deal or better next week. I'd hold for a week if you can.

I plan to sign my wife and I up then use the 2x $1200 gift cards on discounted Black Friday products.

E.g. LG C4 65" TV, which I'm hoping will come down to $2400ish, which I'll get for $1731.33 + any cost above $2400

        • I couldn't wait and just signed up with 89 with 1100. Well… If they comes with better stuff, lesson learned I guess.

  • -3

Please just buy a PS5. Xbox Series X is a legit scam right now. All Xbox games will come to PS5.

    • +3

      Explain pls

      • Every Xbox game will come to PS5. That's it.

  • Waiting for a PS5 Pro deal

  • What time is that later today?

  • Early Access Black Friday now live for perks members.

    • +1

      Don't see it?

    • Still shows as full price on the website and I'm a current perks member.

… Looks like I was right about these black friday deals being in-store only.

      • +1

If you're referring to the PS5 deal, it says in the catalogue it starts on 22nd.

What do people do normally with existing plans such as amaysim?
Do you just port your number to Telstra and then port back?

  • catalogue for those who cant access it for some reason:

    https://catalogue.jbhifi.com.au/2024/11/21-11-bf/index.html

  • Can ultimate gift cards from Big W be used for online purchase on JB?

    • Most can but some can't. Look up the specific cards that you have.

I understand that they operate as a debit card. If you're buying something that costs less than the value of the card it should be easy. If you need to use multiple cards then that does sound a bit tricky and I don't have personal experience using them online in that way.

    Disclaimer
This information is for general guidance only. Please note that JB Hi-Fi gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Additionally, there are out-of-pocket costs of approximately $800 involved in this process. Proceed at your own risk.

    Hi everyone,

There’s been some confusion about the process of obtaining the $1200 JB Hi-Fi gift card through this method. Let me clarify how it works and what you need to be aware of:

    1. Plan Sign-Up

      • Visit the JB Hi-Fi store and sign up for a new $99/month Telstra plan.
      • Important: You need to port an existing number to qualify for the $1200 gift card. If you use a new number, the gift card amount will be reduced to $1100.

    2. Initial Payment

      • At the store, you’ll pay $99 upfront, and they’ll issue a $1200 JB Hi-Fi gift card (non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash).

    3. Cancellation Process

      • After receiving the gift card, download the JB Hi-Fi app and Telstra app.
      • Use Wi-Fi to log into your account (avoid using the new data plan).
      • Through the Telstra chat support in the app, request cancellation of the plan. Provide a reason, like "it was a mistake" or "a family member didn’t want the plan."
      • Porting Out: If you want to keep your number, port it to another carrier immediately before cancellation is finalized.

    4. Refund and Charges

      • Once the cancellation is processed, Telstra will bill you approximately $766 for the early termination cost.
      • If Telstra hasn’t charged the $99 initial fee yet, you can request a refund through the Telstra app.

    Cost Breakdown

    • Upfront cost: $99
    • Early termination charge: $766 (approx.)
    • Total out-of-pocket cost: ~$800

    Final Outcome

    • Gift card value: $1200 (non-refundable)
    • Profit:
      • $400 if Telstra refunds the $99 upfront payment.
      • $300 if Telstra does not refund the $99 payment.

    Key Reminders
    - This process requires an initial out-of-pocket cost of ~$800.
    - JB Hi-Fi gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
    - Only proceed if you’re prepared to cover the costs and have a use for the gift card immediately.

    Make an informed decision!

    • What are the cheapest sims to buy for port in. I ended up getting a $5 aldi sim but I'm sure there would be cheaper instant options?

      • Would like to know as well!

    • Dumb question . But on step 3 cancellation process. If you're keeping your number. Once you cancel.. and want to port it across to another carrier.. eg Optus.. shouldn't you initiate this process with them (Optus) BEFORE cancelling with Telstra?

Otherwise if U initiate the cancellation process with Telstra.. and they complete this then and there.. then you will lose that number?

      • Yeah i'd like clarification on this too

    • wait, lol am i cancelling via the jb app or the telstra app?

      • +1

Jb app preferably, then refund via Telstra app. Thats how I did it.

  • +2

i just got 2 sim last night but the gift card is only $1100 for new numbers, and $1200 for port in.

either way, got $99 refunded aswell so still okay.

    • How did you get the refund? Could you please share the steps?

      • just told them i lost my job lol
