EU Emission targets
The model number and wattage referenced suggest it’s the 2000w model. I assume the amazon description is incorrect?

In the item description it notes model number as 11071460 which is the older 2000w model.
The website also says there is a new version of this which is listed as $699.
As of September 1st, 2017, new vacuum cleaners sold in the EU cannot exceed 900 watts of power. Thus, I guess Miele reduced the wattage accordingly in all their models.
Is the suction better or worse from the reduced wattage?
I've heard it's worse.
Look out on FB marketplace these come up all the time, just look out for a good one. People get rid of them as they (foolishly IMO) get rid of them to get stick vacuums that won't have as good suction.
I picked up one a few months back - $150 in great condition. Chucked a new HEPA filter and bag in and it's perfect.
It's reportedly better due to the improved design. The floor tools are also improved and do a better job.
In actual use they're about the same.
For what it's worth, I purchased this exact model last month and it was the 2000w version. If you look under product specifications it says 2000 watts. Additionally if you look down the page you'll see a link for "there's a newer model…" which takes you to the 890w version. This is a great price for the more powerful model.
Hi, just wondering what accessories and filter did you receive? It seems the "newer model" comes with a hepa filter and different floor heads? thanks
I am also looking at the 2000w model but not sure if the accessories & the HEPA filter are the same as the 890w ones.
I'm not sure what would come with actual package but the description suggests it has 3 accessories and 1 brush head w/o a HEPA filter.

For anyone who ordered, can you update us whether you received the 890w or 2000w when it arrived. I’m wondering if the listing was accidentally for the newer one, which is why it was taken down.
Very late, but I only just received the one I ordered on Monday, can confirm it was the 2000w model.

Tested it yet? I ordered the Bosch a few days ago as an alternative. Just ordered the Miele as its back in stock. Opinions on which one should I cancel?
Honestly, I'm coming from a stick vacuum so I think any proper vacuum would impress me.
Very stoked with the Miele though, suction power is very impressive and is really great to use.
