This or Edge 50 Neo ?
Use for Pokemon Go/Pocket and work stuff (Outlook/teams)

Edge 50 neo is probably the better option. It has 3 cameras instead of the two on the G85. Better specs (don't know how much better). It has 5yrs of OS/security support vs the G85's measly 1 year. Both support E-sim. The Edge has more ram and base storage but doesn't have any microSD support. Charging at 68w wired + 15w wireless is faster on the Edge vs the G85's 33w but has a smaller battery (4310) to the G85's 500mAh. G85 has a better protection screen Corning Gorilla 5 vs the Gorilla 3 on the Edge but worser screen.

I'd say if you can afford to spend an extra $100, the Edge 50 Neo is an amazing option :D

Has the edge deal expired? Are you comparing this deal with a now $700 phone?

        • someone in that thread mentioned that jb hifi will have similar price in a few days for the Neo

  • Battery: how many people understand & take action to minimise its degradation, impacting 1+ yrs of use ? Those who've learn it the hardway know what I'm referring to & willing to carry battery-pack ?

Did you know that there're many lithium chemistry that manufacturers are silent, but each has its own characteristic, https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-216-summary-table-o…

Fast charging, gamers, heavy use, warm/hot temp, charging to 100%, turning on bells & whistles, slow responses etc…beware…even with 5000mAh !

When your phone heats up from light-use/charging, maybe it's a trigger for you to investigate ?
