    • Nice, time to find the best gift card deals

      • not much around. loyalty sites find 1-4% usually but not worth going nuts for..

stock probably an issue tho.. never gift card available to buy, CBF running around 20 Bigw stores to save 30$

        • Can't we use the Ultimate Everyone Gift Card at JB Hi-Fi for 10% off? Or am I missing something here?

          • @OMG Bargain: Yes looks like it. The issue is finding card at BigW that are10% off. Many stores have no stock or current stock don't offer discount - forums suggest people having trouble here.. but yes if you are lucky enuf to have bought gift card at discount, go nuts

            • @Gavman: Oh they can only be found in BigW?
              Bugger!
I thought there were available in Woolies and Coles too

              • @OMG Bargain: BigW seem to be selling them at 10% off.. u can buy them at coles and woollies but at face value - defeats the purpose

                • @Gavman: Ah ok got it, the 10% is via BigW and not the Ultimate Cards brand itself. Sorry misinterpreted that.

        • +1

Cheers. For me some cards for this.

  • Good deal. Hopefully cellular version soon.

      Hopefully cellular version soon.

cellular version has been out for a while now…

  • 64GB is not enough.

    • Depends entirely on what you use it for

      • -1

        apps

      • I'd say 64gb is not enough for 85% of use cases.

        • +5

Nah, 85% of use cases are probably just media consumption.

    • +1

Agreed JV. Unless the isheep pay the apple storage tax.

    • -1

Infact, out of 64GB how much is actually available to the consumer/end user? This is false advertising.

      • +2

Mate, every single device with an OS will have some space reserved for the OS, how else would it work?

        • -3

Apple know how big the OS is, and I'm sure someone in the company knows subtraction.

    • as someone who has had the 64gb one for over a year, I'm yet to run out of storage.

  • +5

Just an idea for anyone who is a teacher (at least with the DET), you can Salary Sacrifice one laptop/tablet each year. You get the GST back and it gets taken out of pre-tax dollars so it's basically a 40% saving. This Ipad would cost you $292 out-of-pocket dollars (approx). You can't sacrifice a cover or apple pen though, unless it comes as part of a deal. I did this with an Ipad Pro a few years ago and it cost me a little over $1000.

  • +1

The iPads confuse the heck out of me. Instead of giving them proper names, apple names them by generation. how do consumers know which is the latest gen and when it was released? Daft.

    • How would you now that iPad 10 is the latest one just by its name?

      • +1

Last iPad released Oct 2022 - if you see the item details you will see its the same release time.
If in doubt, this is a great reference place for all things Macs - https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#iPad

      • At least with some decent marketing, it's easier to discern how new it is. Imagine if they got rid of the numbers behind iPhone and it's just iPhone or just Galaxy S…with the numbers and marketing, I can figure out pretty quickly 16 is the latest.

        • The worse one is probably the galaxy tab s6 lite. Samsung have 3 versions with significant differences from what I recall.

          • @Ronnnie: Oh yeah when I saw a deal for it recently, I was wondering why they were selling such an old tablet and then I realised it's a refresh of an old tablet but kept the same name. Samsung just has confusing naming convention with their product lines though.

    • +2

NGL it's pretty confusing ot me as well. Every time a deal comes up, I have to go to the wiki page to check which generation is the latest or how old the ipad on sale is.

      • -2

It's all iWash to keep the iSheep buying any crap they sell.

  • Are these Black Friday deals? Or is there a chance these will be even cheaper in a couple week's time?

    • early black friday deals - probably go down again next week - Amazon extended change of mind returns till 31st Jan 2025, so you cant go wrong. Christmas gift sorted for 1 kid

      • +1

DigiDirect have moved theirs to $486, so it's now about $463 at o/w ;)

        • Why is bias on colour lol

  • Nice heartbreaker colour

  • Bupa members will get 4.5 % discount on gift card for jbhifi and it will cost $ 465.09

    • Yeah so take 10% off the amazon one brings it down to 437.40.

  • Says not deliverable to my address (regional Victoria) which is a first for me from Amazon. Metro only?

    • Amazon refuse to post most things to regional Victoria now, I asked their customer service why and they refused to tell me they just said bad luck basically.

  • $460 Price Beat at OW with DigiDirect.
    Confirmed.

    • Same here, picked up this morning

  • Are there any good deals on the 128gb or 256gb versions? 64gb is quite limiting….!
