    Sorry but this isn't a bargin.
    It could be 80% off and it would still be a ripoff.
    Its well over $500 for me to get a return trip with my camper trailer these days, $50 for a 4wd permit and something like $25 a night to sleep on the sand with no facilities.

    Straddie is such a nice place to visit and having a car is super convenient, but when a day trip with your car is $200, they can go jump. Ferry + 50c bus fares all the way!

    Spare a thought for the locals who need to pay up for their weekly shopping trip to the mainland. They wanted to link Straddie to mainland with an island hopping bridge 40 years ago. That would have been a disaster so it's a catch 22.
