  • How are the pixel buds? Do they compare to airpods pro in terms of the feature set and how they perform? I've been using a cheapo set but for half price this might temp me to spend a bit more.

I bought a pair and I like them for podcasts but not music. They're good value at that price but I wouldn't pay more. Sound quality is below Airpods pro models. Sometimes I struggle with a seal (large ear canals), but with enough fiddling they do seal reasonably. I use these for the convenience during a commute and they sound great with podcasts, but if I ever listen to music I use my IEMs (Letshouer S12's) with comply foam tips - despite not having noise cancelling they block out noise much better than even Airpods.
I also tried Pixel Buds with comply tips and it made it worse, so I wouldn't recommend that either.

      • Thanks for the reply, might be a pass for me. I will stick to $20-$30 pairs from amazon

I've had a pair of Airpods Pro for quite some time but recently purchased a Pixel 9 Pro XL phone from JB and got a $350 gift card as part of the deal. I used it to buy the Pixel Pro Buds 2 and I was extremely disappointed in the ANC. The Airpods Pro are way better at reducing noise.

Sitting on the train with the PPB2 with ANC enabled I could hear people 7 metres away having conversations, and the noise from the train itself is far more noticeable.

My wife uses them now, but she doesn't commute so just uses them every now and again around the house, hopefully the ANC will improve later down the track with firmware updates… but I wouldn't expect the original PPB to be anywhere near as good as 2nd gen Airpods Pro based on my experience with the newer Google buds.

      • Yep thought so. I was hoping that they would have good ANC and transparency mode but I guess not

That is a great price. I have a Pixel Watch 2 and I really like it. I would love the more screen real-estate of the 3, but for this price, it's a no brainer. Might even be worth getting the LTE version .

  • Are these all using the FitBit app since Google bought them out? Really want to move the kids away from FitBit, nothing but trouble with the app always losing connection to the watches and never tracking sleep.

  • Do you think will be reduced more during bf?

    • It is a good price however I remember I bought Pixel Watch 1 last BF from google store for around $180~190.

  • Does the watch support android apps?

      Any Watch OS app, yes

  • Google Store does not match this price. Only (maybe - if all criteria are met) for orders that have already been placed on the Google Store and have shipped. Curious what their offer will be for BlackFriday sales starting 21. Nov.

  • I was thinking about getting the LTE version for my daughter so that I can contact her when she doesn't have her phone (either using the same mobile number as her phone, or a different mobile number).
I assumed this was possible, but I just read that to use the same number, this is only supported on specific Telstra plans, and the cheapest plan is over $60 per month. Anyone know if this is still the case? She's currently on a basic 365 day plan and switching to a $60 montly plan would increase the cost by over $500 per year!
I was hoping there was the option of just using another 365 day plan with this watch (on a different number), but from what I can understand, this is not possible anyway.
    Anyone able to confirm this?
