  • US plug?

  • Thanks, will set this up with Frigate to watch my back door :)

    • home assistant integration still crippled

    • Been using one with Frigate and it's fine so far.

      • sure
        rtsp works without issue

but 2way audio is dead unless you downgrade firmware. same with SD card sync. ptz may still work via onvif. basically https://github.com/JurajNyiri/HomeAssistant-Tapo-Control dead unless you onboard without internet - which doesnt always work or downgrade firmware

TP-Link said they'd resolve this sometimes in nov but nothing yet

        • So with the current fw, the tapo-control shows sensors as unavailable or they do not work properly? I'm curious to know when we say it's dead by that integration, what's not working? I'm asking since I have a newer fw than public and want to know what the issue is/was.

          • @Man10United: the home assistant integration will fail to authenticate to the camera and nothing works via it.

but regular onvif and rtsp works

            • @FoxJump: Looks like it's alright on mine with 1.4.2 fw (internet blocked). So when they release it it should be alright.

      • +1

i use my tapos 2way audio to verbally notify me if it sees someone

        like: "someones in the driveway"

        • Haven't tried the twoway audio yet, just using it for garage entrance.
