After a few days of negotiation with AliExpress I've managed to get the successor to the previously popular Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2023 down to a good price for those after a new tablet with good specs. Unfortunately I've been unable to get a deal on the Matte display version, as stock is low across the board. Alternatively you can get the 8GB/256GB variant for US$244.14 (~A$371.65) and the 12GB/256GB variant for US$269.19 (~A$409.79).

The main improvements over the original is the newer and faster flagship MediaTek Dimensity 8300 CPU that blows the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 out of the water making it far more suitable for gaming, a brighter 12.7" 600 nits display (was 400 nits), more future Android updates (currently ships with Android 14), 45W fast charging (was 20W), the option of 12GB RAM and Bluetooth 5.3.

Other features include ZUI 16 (Android 14), 12.7" 144Hz 2944x1840 LCD display with 600nits brightness, Widevine L1 DRM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage with microSD support, 8GB or 12GB RAM, 10200mAh battery with 45W fast charging, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 2 inbuilt mics, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint reader, WiFi 6 ax, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB-C 3.2 port with 4K@60Hz video out and pogo pins for a keyboard.

    Aside from needing to enable Google Play, are there any other challenges using a Chinese ROM has? E.g. keyboard has chinese characters, updates (whether apps or Android) is cumbersome, spacing and odd font of english characters etc.

    Strange, just when i was about to pull the trigger at $USD 284 (couldn't use the second coupon for the 12G model), says i can't use the 7QETXD code anymore as it says its been used before. Even though its been sitting on my cart for a while. It works on a different account of mine.

    I will try again and see how i go. Might just be a sign to not buy it on impulse.

    Just bought the green 12GB/256GB with case, film and pen for USD$284.44 delivered. Used the coupon codes 7QETXD, OZAF40, AU1170 in that order. One of them didn't work, I think OZAF40. Happy with the price, especially as I had the USD$ in my debit card from when $A was 0.68 to the USD$.

        I have been speaking to AliExpress about it and they contacted the store owners directly. Apparently there was an issue with stock arriving to the warehouse and they're looking at getting them sent out. I'll see what else they say.

          These were the latest reply from the seller store. I’m really surprised and disappointed by how poorly the shipping of this expensive item was managed. I could get tablet cases delivered from the same store with full tracking in 7 days, or even a cheap $5 item from AliExpress with standard shipping (non choice) and proper tracking delivered in under 2 weeks.

    I took this deal back on 13th of Nov and bought this item off AliExpress….first time using AliExpress.

    There’s been no updates on my items and my msgs are left on “read” by the seller and no further updates since Nov 13th.

    Nothing but regrets using this deal and I’m still waiting for my dad’s Xmas gift but looking more like a total scam at this rate.

      Why should I take responsibility? How can it possibly be my fault? What would you like me to do about it? Before you respond take into account that I don't work for AliExpress.

      Also take into account Singles Day and Black Friday back to back are well known for having major shipping delays due to the whole postal system in China getting overloaded. Ordering this close to Christmas from China is always risky.

        Anyone (including you) can lodge a report or warning with the Mods, should you think there is a problem or scam.
        No-one here wants that. So please, always lodge a report to the Moderators!…
        You should be supportive of people like Clear, who do their very best to even get special deals for the massive cohort of OB members and community.
        I think it is not something easy to do. They are volunteering their time and energy. They would be in exactly the same boat as you, waiting for deliveries.
        There are some AliExpress companies that are scammers offering mobile phones or other products with fictitious specifications that only "lookalike" the desirable product.

        Dealing with these charaltans can be difficult if you do not go through all the proper procedures AliExpress requires. (emailing photographic evidence etc,.)
        YouTube and the Internet is full of explanations on dealing with improper companies or bad faith issues.
        Longer time deliveries may occur and AliExpress explicitly even warns over Chinese New Year of companies shutting down.
        You can spend extra to speed up the delivery if it is offered.

        Bigger/Bulky products that are shipped will definitely take much longer than small electronics products that are flown in via bulk surface and air-mail.
        You can try Temu and Shein if you feel you can get something better/cheaper/faster. Or accept the deal that is offerred here at a busy time of year.
        Sometimes there are delays, but that is beyond anyone's control and AliExpress and Temu offer a bit of money on deliveries, delivered beyond the forecast delivery date.

        Mine says the same.

        I checked my messages in the Contact Seller section and had one from a few weeks ago (no notification received) saying grey was delayed by approx 2 weeks.

        I replied asking when it is likely to be shipped and received the above reply.

        I've asked them to ship the green one immediately or refund my money.

          Mine is green 12/256G, but it is hard to believe the info that chat suporting is providing unless you receive it. My original delivery date was latest by 28th Nov and these are their responses.

          On 29th Nov they said
