The 520 is a substantially better deal than this for an extra $80. Better groupset (transmission parts) and brakes.

      • Which is also down to $880.00

I have a distinct feeling decathlon is about to pull out of Australia

    • They've been opening stores recently so unlikely.

      • They closed Victorian stores…

        • +1

          Knoxfield and where else?
They announced they are moving to smaller stores. They opened a Sydney flagship store in Sep.

    • why?

      • When some chains start discounting heavily it might be a sign they might be closing down.

        • +1

Ya this is the 2nd or 3rd store wide discount in only a few months, they had bikes on sale that were additionally discounted as well, certainly at a loss for them, the components alone for the suspension and drivetrain would have been 80% of the cost.

Don't get me wrong I really like decathlon and have spent lots there, but I've noticed several stores down size, Knoxfield closed, and staff numbers seem to be down as well.

Shimano Sora. Avoid at all costs.

      Yeah? Nah…

That's a good quality groupset - sure it's only 9 speed however for most cyclists it will be more than enough. And no shifting issues either.
