  • No stock for me :(

  • Lack of specs is concerning.
Does 2x7 mean it has a shitty 14-28T freewheel or similar like Shimano Tourney?
Would be a bargain if it comes with a 7-speed cassette with decent range, like 11-32.

2x groupset is quite standard for a gravel groupset.

2x is fine. That is unrelated to what I actually said.

        • Yes most likely it will have a limited range cassette if that's what you are asking.

If it's the R2 series it would top out at 28 I believe.

Edit: most likely the R2 which is 11-28.

You can't really running bigger cassettes on less than 10 speeds because the jumps from gear to gear will be too large or awkward to accommodate.

Also the ltwoo mechanicals are not particularly well regarded, I own a mechanical ltwoo, ltwoo 1x electric and a Sensah groupset (2x12).

I much prefer Microshift and massively prefer Shimano.

I barely service my 11spd Shimano and it only started having issues when I stupidly swapped out a few Shimano components with Chinese aluminium ones.

As soon as I swapped back the problems have all but disappeared (minus my friggin tubeless valves leaking - also cheap ALI China valves).

It's almost always small parts that fail on them and you have almost no options for spares. I can get exploded parts views for Shimano from half a dozen shops around me.

I had to buy 3 seperate sets of circlips from Ali to find one that could fit the spot it needed.

          • @Telios:

Edit: most likely the R2 which is 11-28.

That is the derailleur. You just need a longer cage for bigger cogs, which I'd expect on a "gravel" bike.

But the real issue is cassette vs freewheel, and the smallest cog, 11 vs 14T.

@bargaino: Yeah shame they don't list the cassette details at all.

You most likely won't be able to sub out the derailleur as I mentioned, ltwoo have stolen bits and pieces from both SRAM and Shimano and you'd have to dig thru forums to find anything even close to relevant for compatibility - assuming anyone has bothered.

It's better with Sensah I've found bits to substitute for it, but my ltwoo eGr set is basically 100% info from YouTube.

@Telios: Only groupset I've used from Aliexpress is Sensah xrx 1x12 (~65aud for lever & derailleur) from about july last year and it has been pretty good. I would prefer Shimano XT/xTR anyday. I've had a pretty good run with parts from aliexpress but it gets quite tiring finding good over duds. I've recommended some stuff to people and when they buy similar or even identical looking products, they're sometimes trash.. bargain hunting sometimes aint easy..

This Fluid bike seems good deal for what it is but would probably leave a lot to be desired.

            • @DONMAI: Yeah it's 100% exhausting trying to make sure things are the correct part or compatible.

I've bought 2 carbon seats, same size, same retailer, same brand.
Only difference was white vs black colour.

Inexplicably one is just insanely uncomfortable and basically unusable.

I'll still buy bike tools and other low risk items, but I've mostly accepted drivetrain parts should just be OEM or local stock.

    • 2x is fine, but never heard of 'L-Twoo'

      • It is an upcoming group set manufacturer and may one day upend Shimano.

Note they don’t manufacture a complete group set.

      • +1

        L-Twoo is a Chinese brand.

Here's a review of the gravel 1x12 groupset by YouTuber 'Trace Velo' who specialises in reviewing Chinese cycling products (mainly stuff bought on AliExpress). There's also a bonus clip at the end showing him crashing lol…

    • Based on this Reddit thread, sounds like it is a 28?

They also have the Fluid Nitro 1.0 Men's Mountain Bike Blue Large dropped from $999 to $399

    https://www.anacondastores.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/…

    • any good for the price range?

      • Also keen to know if anyone has thoughts
Am looking for a bike to ride with the kids so not any real mountain biking but price seems right

  • How much of a shitter is this thing?

    Pedals included = no good!

  • Any reviews from other ozbarginers

    • I bought it and tried to assemble this arvo and cross-threaded the pedal. I am now 3/3 cross threading pedals during bike assembly so it's probably not a manufacturing error.

Probably going to take it back tomorrow and see if they'll let me swap it.

(yes I know the left pedal goes anti-clockwise, still has to be a technique issue for me at this stage).

      • The old slowly reverse thread trick with mild pressure by hand untill you feel a small click, then spin the right way

always by hand first using mild force, when threading on positively a few turns, then use tool.
