TRADE200

Harvey Norman currently has trade in deals on TVs, combined with 20% off on Sony appears to be cheapest you can get it for other than Sony eBay box damaged ($2329 delivered with code HGTECH1).

Cheapest I've seen this tv so far was Sony Ebay box damaged a few weeks ago @$1981 delivered, but if you want a fresh box this seems like best deal around at the moment, not sure if it will go cheaper for black friday.

  • $1981 was a nice deal, but was bit skeptical about the "damaged box" situation.

    • From my experience in warehousing, damaged box for TVs could be anything from tiny marks on box to falling over during transit, which gets rejected by retailers like JB, TGG, HN. Other brands like Samsung would probably just inspect, rebox and sell them as new. As long as they're checked by Sony and comes with new warranty I wouldn't mind too much, but yeah wish I had bought at $1981, let's hope it comes around again for black friday. I'm thinking with the increased volume of TVs being delivered to retailers pre end of year sales, there'll be more box damaged ones to clear.

Thanks for letting me know about this $1,981 scenario, I have been eyeing on this at the current price all week but won't pull the trigger now

I really wanted the prior year model x95K (got better wide angle vision) but didn't grab it last Black Friday, it got discontinued and no more deals. I haven't learned from that mistake.

    • Sony eBay seem to be adding $99 shipping now, I didn't think they did before or am I mistaken?
