nbn 25/5Mbps $48.90/Month for 12 Months ($68.90/Month Ongoing) @ Dodo

160

Dodo is offering $20/mth off select plans for a 12 month period.

This bring the 25 Mbps plan down to $48.90 per month, which was the cheapest I could find for a service that is longer than 6 months.

Not sure if it is worth the risk with Dodo, but for that price I might give them a go.

If you need a router you can BYOD, or they have the following deals:

Essential Modem
$8.90 /mth for 12 months
or $99.90 upfront

Family Modem
$11.90 /mth for 12 months
129.90 upfront

lololol $68.90 for 25 Mbps! Most other ISPs give you 50 Mbps for that price.

    • It's $48.90 for the first 12 months, which I haven't seen cheaper from any other RSP

        Flip connect, 39/mo for 5mo.

        • Flip is good but once you had connection with them, you are no longer considered new customer. So many who churn may not be able to get them.

        • I thought it was for 6 months?

Currently with them, and it's going great.

          • @movieman: I have been told by them it otherwise

            • @s0805: Looks like it's changed.

In September when I joined it was that price for 6 months.

If you sign up now, it's only for 3 months.

              • @movieman: we may be talking 2 different things here. My exp was, if you are with them once, they will not consider you as their new customer for their discounted deals…is that what u mean

                  @s0805: Understand your point.

I was trying to say that price is only applicable for a few months.

Better off with FuBar - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/866782

Have it for my 101 granny who streams video and youtube - Yes she does!

    Constant speeds from samknows box:

    23.1 Mbps
    9.46 Mbps

    • Yup did see that one and was going to join FuBar, until I saw this while browsing Facebook which was slightly cheaper.

With the referral below I will probably end up signing up to FuBar.

    • Thanks for the comment. I hadn't heard about Fubar before but have been looking to move away from Belong due to their recent price hike, so this looks promising as a straightforward option. Well done to your granny btw, getting to 101 is no means feat!

Swoop will do 25/5 with a referral code for $39 for 6 months too, for what that's worth.
    Currently $54 minus $15 per month referral bonus= $39.

    • Good to know, thank you!

    • How has your experice with Swoop been ?

      • Yeah it's been completely fine. No dropouts, but then I didn't have any dropouts with Spintel or really anyone else either. FTTB where I am, and 100/20 is the max speed we can get at this address, and Swoop has been good for that. The little call centre was great, very personal service, and based in Oz.

    • didn't know abt Swoop and stacking with referral. So good to know, I am leaning more to Mate $39 with 6 months (I know its not favorite for OZB) but for my needs of 25/5 it had no issues in past.

    • Does referral code work for 50/20?

  • This bring the 25 Mbps plan down to $48.90 per month, which was the cheapest I could find for a service that is longer than 6 months.

    Why not 25/8 Mbps $47 for 6 months + 25/8.5 Mbps $47.90 for 6 months?

    • Trying to avoid having to change ISPs too often, especially for older parents or relatives

      • Fubar is good

    Whats 25/5? is this adsl2+?

    • When ADSL2 was popular, the average speed was 8Mbps. Some got faster, a lot got slower.

So even 12/1 NBN is faster than the average speed ADSL2 had, before NBN was available.
