    IMO Ledlenser are overpriced.

There's a bunch of cheaper options from other flashlight companies (ie. Sofirn, Olight, Nitecore, Wurkkos, Fenix, etc).

    • Agree.

    • Olight are overpriced too, and use proprietary batteries.

This light looks initeresting in as much as it can adjust light output automatically depending on what you are looking at, and can be controlled/set with an app apparently. That's something that I don't know any other light in the usual brands you mentioned does.

It is an old design but at the current price it doesn't look outrageous, non discounted is another story.

      • Olight are overpriced too, and use proprietary batteries.

Compared to other brands, Olight is on the more expensive overpriced side (never buy at full price and wait for one of their many sales). As for battery, some most may be proprietary but at least they are replaceable (which this Ledlenser doesn't appear to be).

    • I love my LL gear - one piece I've been using for what would be coming up on 15yrs now. I don't think overpriced is the correct word just because there are cheaper options on the market.

      • The only LL I've owned is the SEO7R Headlamp (received as a gift), which the plastic battery cover clip has already broke after ~2 years.

    • This one could suit a Sam Fischer cosplay outfit tho

    • I used to think LEDLensers were the beast, but yeah, other models and brands seem to work just fine at a far cheaper price point

  • I realise that there’s a plethora of options out there at this price point and under, however in my experience I have found their older headlamps like the H7 to be very reliable and have a good light output.

  • The hinge that allows it to tilt always breaks on these designs. I've had 3 different models with similar design clips and they all have snapped.

  • I own several torches, including a Ledlenser P7 which I picked up for $42 staff prices in 2018… It’s a good little torch, however as far headlamps go I was never overly fond of Ledlenser for them, Black Diamond (I own a Black Diamond headlamp) and Petzl were more popular selling brands for headlamps when I worked the camping and outdoor industry.

    • Can vouch for Petzl. They might seem flimsy but are actually very solid. Tilting working fine after 10 years and the hybrid power supports both AAA and proprietary Li-Ion which even has USB port on the battery pack itself so does not require a charger and I can use the lamp while the other battery pack is charging.

  • Looking at thumb nail, I thought it's meta quest knock off
