    Couple of questions:
    1. Suitability of this laptop for a mech eng student at uni?
    2. There are 2 USB-C DP 1.4 ports listed. What is the maximum number of external screens this laptop can support?
    3. From general reading of the comments in this and previous deals, the quality of this laptop is very good. Is this the exception, as the quality of the Lenovos distributed by my kid's school aren't the best.

      If it’s DP, that supports pass through, so you can do at least TWO 4K monitors (if they support it)
      And in theory FOUR with two ports

      Or just throw on a simple dongle and do standard HDMI Monitors!

    What about the build quality of ideapads? Never used a Lenovo laptop before but heard a lot of stories about machines not booting up right after warranty expire.
    Been with MacBooks for more than a decade but truly sick of their gouging prices.

          Can't see any reason why it shouldn't. I bought my partner a Thinkpad from Lenovo website via cashrewards (20%) last year and it worked, though took quite some time to come through.
