Yeah but how to get silver member? That's gonna be hard or does someone eating at the table can be that member?

    • I'm not a member, and it doesn't say on their website what the membership price is :

      https://www.butchersbuffet.com.au/loyaltyprogram

Also, looks like they launched their loyalty program, only in August 2024.

        1 visit = 1 point

          ..errr

          Silver Status = 250+ Points

          • @whyisave: I wonder if anyone has visited 250 times…

            • @toppingq: 250 times sounds excessive

If I choose $41 for a meal price (for their early week offer),
              then:

              250 x $41 = $10,250

        • +1

The ratio is actually $1 - 1 point. example spend $250 get 250 points.

          • @viewfndr: Cunninghams law… took a day but thanks (Y)

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Butcher’s Buffet, I went to the Blacktown location a few weeks after it opened last year with a group of friends, my biggest gripes were they didn’t provide proper metal cutlery when dining in, all tables had wooden disposable food court cutlery and this didn’t include a knife, just a folk and spoon. Also one of my friends had a young 2 and a half year old and she had to ask for a key to use the customer bathroom, and there wasn’t toilet paper in there. The 1 and a half hour time limit was a bit intrusive as well. On top of all that I witnessed the staff reject a customer that wanted to dine in by themselves, which I thought was wrong.

If a restaurant cannot get their bathrooms right then the kitchen definately would not be good.

The strathfield and Eastwood ones are very good. Strathfield butchers buffet is our default K BBQ. When we go out. Give them a try hopefully your experience will be a lot better.
But I agree with you blacktowns was sub par and we wouldn't go back there

  • After watching this video, I booked a table for lunch two weeks ago on Saturday. For the price, it is one of the best buffet restaurants in Melbourne.

    • -1

confused me there for a minute, it wasn't butchers buffet that the video is about

      • You clearly didn't read the OP and my comment carefully. You can't blame others for your own mistake. I just wanted to share a buffet restaurant worth visiting with fellow OzBargainers in Melbourne.

        • I didnt neg you. Nor was i upset. I was just commenting out loud. If i was to neg you, i would have said somerhing more

  • We need someone who's redeemed this to comment.

    • WHY DID U REDEEM IT

  • DO NOT GO TO Cabramatta it small and less option big regrets in my life

    • DO NOT GO TO Cabramatta it small and less option big regrets in my life

And what a life you must lead!

    Buy this:
    $110 [Hibachi Grill] (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/373518931693?chn=ps&_ul=AU&norov…)

Order quality meat at around $90-$150 per kg from somewhere like this:
    https://wagyubeefaustralia.com.au/

And have a much better and cheaper experience at home, plus you have a much better taste cooking with charcoal rather than gas.

    • Is it safe to use hibachi indoor? How do you deal with the smoke?

      • +2

        ABSOLUTELY NOT.

You never cook with charcoal indoors, it will kill you. Unless you have an industrial extractor fan.

Cook on a balcony, or outside only.

      • As per @staden its against the law to cook indoors with charcoal due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
You have to use charcoal outdoors.
I have two hibachis outside for our own home kbbq. Mine are pricier but smaller but it's a donabe hibachi. Less practical more aesthetics
