  • 120GB for $4 ain’t bad

Only if you get the $20 cashback.

  • Is this tracked successfully for anyone? The promo is not listed, so cashback may not be approved?

  • Can Cashrewards beat this?

    • +2

      Top cash back should

      • Yeah another one from TCB would be great

        • +2

but TCB has a clause that you can’t port out till the cashback is credited unlike SB & CR

          • @SydOzber: Oh didn’t know that.

If I just leave the 28-day SIM card to expire until whenever the cashback is due, will I still get the cashback?

  • Can i activate it later?

@hopper 'Special notes from store…SIM cards must be activated within 30 days of purchase.'-> https://www.shopback.com.au/amaysim-mobile

      Consider others' comments ?

May be wait for CashRewards & TopCashback to offer similar-deals ?
Background: Amaysim have not offered decent-deals since early Aug-24 & hence likely to incentivise buyers soon?
Boost have offered deals since early-Aug-24 & ended early-Oct-24: may be they'll be quiet for 1 mth or 2 ?

      • Thank you

I do not trust Shopback anymore but thanks OP.

SB did honour the last deal if you made the effort to email them and contact their rep but I’d hold back until someone confirms that it tracks at $20 before I’d pull the trigger.
If it does track at $20 that’s a good indication everything’s ok as they usually track based on the $amount so many times half price offers means it tracks for a lower plan.
Good Luck anyway, hopefully they fixed whatever the issue was last time and this one will work perfectly ;p

    • That's lucky, they didn't honor the last deal for me. I made the effort to email and got a generic response back with an apology but it's still only showing $3 tracked. I sent a follow up, no response yet.

      • Go to the thread from that previous deal and PM @gotyourback & they’ll fix it for you, it’s a bit of a stuff around for sure but $25 is $25 and much better in your pocket than SB’s.

        • Have done, still no resolution

          • @ozilicious: OK, well that’s crap.
Maybe try getting @gotyourback’s attention my making a public comment on the comment thread that a few other people did so everything’s public?
So you don’t even get a response to the email asking for more info either?

    Beware everyone,
My transaction got tracked at $3.25

    • Many thanks mate..
assume you can cancel the order?

      • Yes going to cancel the plan

        • Same amount tracked.
How do you cancel the order? I am getting this from Amaysim:

We are unable to change an order once it has been placed and do not offer a refund for change of mind unless you are within any cooling off periods as required under the Australian Consumer Law.

          • +1

@mangoo1: From previous offers I’ve heard if you contact their online chat and explain that you purchased based on a Cashback offer that didn’t track properly they’ll happily cancel your order so long as the sim hasn’t been shipped yet and in some cases they cancel the sim even if it’s shipped but seems to be the exception more than the rule though.
The key is making sure they understand you signed up only because of the SB offer but tbh if you’ve already ordered it’s probably just as difficult to cancel as it to chase up the Cashback.
@gotyourback is on this thread now so should be easy to PM them and get your $20.
            Hope you get a resolution.

I miss the days of making a profit out of Boost SIM orders.

Beware, it only gave 3$ cashback

      me too, lodging a claim

SB is so dodgy. It didnt even track last time i bought through SB app. Manually submitted claim then it tracked then got rejected. Not worth the hassle as you need to email them back and forth even whebnyou provided tax invoice.

  • I just realised that SB can only allow a withdraw of minimum $10… I can't take my $5 out…

    • Use it to offset gift card purchase.

      • How?

        • It is how this deal worked.

        • +1

When you try to make a purchase through SB gift card store when you go to check out there will be an option to use your existing balance, just make sure the tab is pushed to the right/on position and it’ll be deducted from any purchase amount you make using your selected primary payment method.
It’s really easy and intuitive once you see it you’ll understand.

@gotyourback is the SB rep here on OzB.
I’d message them and email [email protected] with a screenshot showing the original Cashback offer.
This shouldn’t be happening every time Amaysim have a promotion, this has also happened 12+ times before and wouldn’t be that hard to ensure they either change the Cashback amount or make very clear in the terms that any extra discount direct from Amaysim will void Cashback rates but instead we are all left chasing our tails.
    Good luck everyone!

    • thanks mate!
