      Yep. Another bank marketing scam.

      • +2

        oh, don't be silly.

  • "Does not already hold an Orange Everyday Account at the time of opening the Account." Maybe this is why the code isn't working for me?

  • Has anyone got this to work?

  • Please try again – we couldn’t find a code match

  • Sometimes it feels like s scam if things are unclear.
Every now and then, I received promotional emailon lucky draw sich as below but never know whether someone received it or it is just marketing tactic.

XXX, you’ve got until 30 November 2024 to enter the $10,000 lucky draw. T&Cs apply.

  • Code not working atm. Just got off the phone with ING to check.

    • What did ING say?

      • +3

    • How big is your meal. It’s $200. That’s 18 meals for me.

      • +5

yeah not with Menulog it's not 18 meals.

        • +1

I use the $5 off pickup which comes in handy.

  • +1

    Code is working now 👍

Need to deposit $1 to activate the account then wait for the voucher. (Up to 10 days)

    • Where did you see the info on the $1?

      • +1

Did you closed your ING Profile as well?

        • +1

No, all my details were still in there

          • +1

@bghunter: That’s funny because I also created an ING Everyday account and was not given the $200 Menulog.

            • @nightelves: Thats really helpful thanks @bghunter and @nightelves. Same boat here. I reckon they've included some logic that isn't in their definition of eligible customer.

              • +1

@circle9nine: Updste…have been advised as follows via messaging in the app

"This promotion is for New to Bank clients only.
You have previously held account with us as early as (date removed).

Unfortunately, due to this, you are not eligible for this promotion."

I've asked where the terms and conditions refer to new to bank, and asked for prompt payment of the bonus.

                • @circle9nine: Yeah the only thing in their t&cs is this: Does not already hold an Orange Everyday Account at the time of opening the Account.

I was going to contest as well but will wait for an update from you before following up.

                  • @nightelves: Reckon it might take some time. They've doubled down saying its a New to Bank offer, not referred to any clause. I've asked for escalation via internal dispute process.

                    • +1

@circle9nine: I had a savings account with ING a really long time ago, I was not an existing customer at the time of opening the new account and they are doubling down for me too.

      • Just wanted to ask when you apply for a new account did you use a different verification methods apart from your drivers licence?

  • +2

    Received $200, thanks op

  • How long does it take to get code once activated? I signed up, sent money to account and at 7.30pm it was activated but still havent received code

    • Have you received yours yet? I’m still waiting on mine.

      • Still waiting too. Do you mean you got a code and just waiting for the credit to come through to your menulog acct ? I haven't got a code yet.

    • 1 day for me.

    • +1

      Just got mine :)

  • Also received mine yesterday 🫦

  • Did it come in email from ING or MenuLog? Also how long after opening the account did you receive your code?

    • Email comes from ING, received the voucher next day after depositing $10

  • so doesn't work if you're already orange everyday account holder? Or is there a loophole

  • What is the subject of the email with the code? I deleted one I received after opening the account but I’m sure it only said something about downloading the app, hopefully the code wasn’t in that one…

    • +2

nocure, enjoy $200 credit to your Menulog account.

I did go into the "junk" folder.

    • @Ryder08 did you get it? I want to apply for it, just wondering what if limit of first 10000 customers is already consumed

      • +1

I didn’t but I signed up as soon as this deal was posted, so may just be something to do with my account.

  • +1

Received mine 1 day after I opened my account.
    Email was from ING Australia

[First name], enjoy $200 credit to your Menulog account

  • -3

Add the $200 credit to your Menulog account by 8 December 2024

Lmao oof. I read everything before signing up except this. So much for getting a cheap Xmas prezzie for the mother in law.

    • lol, down voted for gifting the mother in law a couple hundred. Asked me the other day if I had any DoorDash codes, figured $200 for free is an upgrade. Lame.

      ANYWAY,

Mine came through about 3pm today, so less than 24 hours wait, not too shabby.

  • Completed application and deposit on Friday…still no email…

    • same. either i missed out or i wasn't considered a "new". I already had an everyday account which i closed before applying for this.

  • I applied Thursday night and received the e-mail today (Monday) at noon.

  • Applied Sunday night, received voucher 3pm today!

  • VOUCHER RECEIVED THANKS OP

  • Applied yesterday afternoon. Received voucher today 1PM.

    • +1

      Oh wow really! Sweet.

  • +1

Me, get delivery like a G
    See, $600 worth for free

    • How did you get that much?

      • +3

3 people 18+ in the family.

  • Just did it today finger cross

    • Just wondering have you received your code? I signed up yesterday around midday but yet to receive a code. Someone mentioned it can take up to 10 days but I can a lot of people have commented they received theirs the next day.

Update: I just received my code at 5:38pm.

      • @alinnia
Nope i stuffs up i didnt read the condition of not having orange before opening, so i think i will not get it.

I can close the existing ones (now i have two) and try to open another one but not sure if it will work or just wasting time

  • My id docs could not be verified when I submitted the online application.

I received an SMS yesterday from ING.

ING here - To open your Orange Everyday simply take your ID check form to any Australia Bank@Post service so we can verify you.

I had a look on their website and also googled it without success. Nothing specific to the orange everyday bank account.

Anyone that can point me in the right direction ?

    • I received another sms from ING. I had to login to the account and upload another document. All good.

  • If I don’t deposit $1000 and don’t make 5 eligible settled ING card purchases within the month, will there be account fees for the Everyday Transaction Account ?

    • +1

      No monthly account fee.

  • +1

    Eligible Customer criteria
A customer will be an Eligible Customer ('Eligible Customer') when they are one of the first 10,000 customers who:
    Opens and activates an Orange Everyday account ('Account') in an online application form during the Promotional Period. Note that the Account can be opened through the application form for the Orange Everyday account at campaigns.ing.com.au/200INGMENU;
Enters the promotional code 'INGMENU200' for the Promotion in their online application for the Account; and
Does not already hold an Orange Everyday Account at the time of opening the Account.

  • +4

Customers who have held an account with ING previously, don't bother. Despite their Terms and Conditions only stating that eligibility relies on you not currently holding an Orange Everyday account, they will not honour the offer if you were a prior customer. The agent continues to insist that I must be a new customer to be eligible, and refuses to provide an excerpt from the Terms and Conditions proving this upon request. Not my fault they didn't write their Terms and Conditions thoroughly enough. Granted, not the agent's either, but I'm not being rude. Very disappointing nonetheless.

    • Go to afca

      • +2

Didn't have to. Made a complaint to ING and they just got back to me today. They gave me $200 in cash.

    Hi all,

Literally made an account to comment on this post! I have had a ING account before (literally opened the account last week)

Signed up again using a new mobile number and email and it worked, which was surprising as I’m 75% sure I used my current address again and not my parents or anything, I received my code 5 minutes ago after opening the bank account yesterday arvo!

    Hope this helps someone

Edit: I doubled checked and I did use the same address! Must be verifying with phone numbers and emails.

    • Did you get a txt or email to verify (i.e. do you need to use a real number/email)?

      • +1

I didn’t have to verify anything but the number and email I used are connected to me. I just happened to change my number recently and used another email I had.

I just meant ING must verify on their end via people’s numbers/emails that they have stored on the system

        • Thanks. On second thought, you would have to use a real email or you miss out on the code…

      • +1

Yes. ING will SMS your mobile number a code to finish the security registration. Then later will email the Menulog code to you.

    • +1

Worked for me - just got the credit. Thanks @goodthanksmate

    • I too have an Everyday account that I use as an offset. Would this work?

  • +1

Made account Tuesday 22nd, Menulog credited today 25th :)

  • Has more then 10k people signed up already Because I signed up on Friday the 25th and it's the 28th now n still no email is there a certain amount to put into my bank account because I put $2 n I didn't get an email with code yet n I'm new to ING

    • +2

I suspect that because there's a manual step involved there could be a delay depending on how busy they are. For example, the INGMENU200 promo code entered on ING's application form triggers a task to a queue for manual approval/verification of application to make sure it's a new customer. After approval, that person then generates and emails the Menulog credit code to the new customer.
