  • Anyone tested this both powder and liquid?
What you guys prefer and why?

I'm currently using the liquid one, never on sale (the large 4L) at Coles unfortunately

    • After trying a lot of liquids and then some powders, I've settled on Aldi Almat Powder ($5.5 for 2Kg). I use it in a top loader machine and cold water, I'm in Sydney so here water is not hard. I throw the powder in the tank before putting any clothes. Here Almat has another advantage, its very fine powder so it mixes with water easily. So fine powder and throwing it in tank beofre clothes works well. Keep the powder in a tight jar to keep it dry and to keep the detergent at its peak performance.

But you've to try a few powders and liquid to find which works best in your machine and water. There is no one size fits all.

Been using omo ultimate powder (85% on choice), i'll try this for half the price (62% on choice).
    Thanks

I wouldn't bother with this if you want clean clothes.

that bad? honestly i find it hard to notice any difference between brands

      • +1

Exactly. They all come out clean no matter what brand cheap or expensive

    • +3

we use the liquid form in our washes and it does a good job without the god awful scent some detergents leave on clothes

    • Have used this brand for ages and it works fantastically. You must do very dirty work or something!

isnt the Aldi 5kg one better deal

    • +1

I bought the Aldi one and don't know how it was rated so high. You had to use a lot more powder to get anything clean it seems.

  • Choice recently did a thing on washing powders/liquids, though only so much info freely available.

Sign up to your local library…many local libraries have a digital subscription to Choice that library members can access for free. I know mine does.

      • Do they let you access the webpage reviews/round ups though? The libraries I've looked at (in WA) only seem to give access to the e-magazines. Would love to be able to access the website for free via a library.

  • Does it come with a scoop as other brands have stopped including one.

    • No scoop

  • nice and environmental. thanks!

  • Does this one have a scent / perfume ?

I've been using the Omo Sensitive scent-free for too long now and can't go back to perfumed washing powders or liquids.

    • I don't think it does, but I have been using this product for a long time so i may have become immune to any scent it may have.

  • Back in stock in case anyone missed out.
