Hmm not sure how reliable Choice is. My personal philosophy is to try as many as possible when they're on sale and see which one is actually good
Choice stopped being reliable when they started to allow products to put their name on the boxes. It wasn't always like that.
Got to agreed Choice is by no means perfect but I'm not sure there is a better way to compare this particular product.
Top loader 50% rating is a massive 5% above plain H2O. Choice washing tests are rough guides, ruined mainly by the fact they have only one sort of TL washing machine (couldn't find whether they're impeller or agitator but our TL LG wave action impeller is far better than our old agitator washing machine was).

Yes the Aldi stuff is good , just be aware the box itself may fall apart in humid weather and take with it any savings versus the more expensive stuff,
so save the large plastic containers from the other stuff to fill up .
It might be cheap, but it isn't that good at washing.
