Is this good to use on my bush ?

    • +41

      on your mum's maybe…

      • Rofl nice one

      • on every bush in the area

    • -3

Haha yes if you are George Bush 😄

    • Try it and give us a review. Bunnings have a good return policy

      • For the Bush or the trimmer

Small bushes maybe. Pretty useless on thicker bushes as it gets overwhelmed easily due to it's poor power. I was expecting this to just be a shorter bladed version of the regular sized trimmer, but it's much weaker. I'd recommend the regular sized Ozito hedge trimmer for everything except the smallest bush jobs. FYI, I own both.

      • Thank you, you just confirmed my query.

I was hoping it'd be an overkill version of the hedge trimmer but I might pass on this one.

      • How big a battery do you put on it?
Is it better with a 4ah or 5.2ah battery?

        • I use a 2Ah or 2.5Ah due to the weight of the 4Ah. I don't think that it's an issue of battery power as these batteries work very well in my larger trimmer which cuts through much thicker stuff than this small one can handle. The small stuff I cut with this one is only around 1-2mm whereas the larger one does up to around 10mm on my bottlebrush for example. You could always buy one and if it doesn't work to your satisfaction take it back. I should have done that but I forgot about it until too much time had passed.

      • I have the makita one still working. And I doubt this is better

      • Is that the extendable one? It’s so heavy though…

Ah, found out there’s a long hedge only one

same experience, Was hoping to use it for a very short run (~3m) of hedge I have but it frustratingly weak. ended up usin my old rusty hedge shares instead

Thanks - added to my collection of ozito products at bargain prices I have yet to take out of the box

bro you're not ozito bro until you have the whole set.

      • How can one be ozito complete when every now and then they make a newer sku

        • The final level of Ozito bro is importing Einhell from Europe months before they've been rebranded here as Ozito

    • That's my plan!

    • Welcome to ozbargain. I have a garden shed full of this stuff. But the amount I saved is astronomical.

mixed reviews, 1 stars say it's under powered, stalls on the smallest twigs, not fit for purpose

then you have all glowing reviews

it's possible the 1 star reviewers are using old or small capacity batteries that are struggling to supply voltage, anyone with experience care to comment?

Got it. $89 is way too much for it.
It's fine for regular trims, but not great for thicker stuff. Even with 4ah batteries. Fine and convenient is how I'd describe it.

Didn't think I'd use the grass shears but I've actually used it a few times to do a quick trim of something that didn't warranty the whipper snipper…

Compared to my full size Ozito hedge trimmer it's useless on all but the lightest tasks. My batteries work fine on the full sized trimmer, so it's not a battery issue with mine. I haven't tried the grass shears attachment so it may be ok for that.

Bunnings, pls match the long size hedge trimmer!

This has been great for me. Only used the grass shears, but has saved me more in time than it has cost even at full price. I haven't found it underpowered at all.

    • Same here. Both these tools have saved me more time and effort than imaginable. Very convenient.

Will this tool help me hedge my bets?

  • Dad bought one from an earlier deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659805

    Seems happy about it.

  • Good price, already have the pole one

  • can't seem to order for delivery. Ordered twice and both order was cancelled.

    • Did you try changing the store? Probably the one you have selected can't find the stock.

  • Wonder if there is any chance they’ll match the Aldi 8Ah battery price.

    • Doubt it. The Ozito 8Ah battery is 5/8Ah changeable amperage so not like for like, I often look at the ALDI ones and think I should just get it and get an adapter

  • How does the grass shear function work??

    • Having same question.

    • I’ve found it useless really. I end up just using the hedge trimmer.

  • Does this work with 1.5Ah battery?

  • pity they don’t do a brushless version.

  • Bunnings pretty good with the delivery. Got mine in one day. Guess they try to match Amazon.

  • Back to full price
Just when the Aldi one I got carked
