  • Are you sure it is OK for Australia?

I saw it is around $47 at JB and they are doing 20% off = $37.60

Yes, even though Amazon says it's region A, Warner Bros. do not region encode their blu ray discs.

JB's 20% off has finished now I think

    • +2

your link from JB is DVDs anyway, blu-ray is more expensive.

  • Had it preordered with free expedited shipping. Should be here Tuesday :D

  • Interesting facts about region coding when I did a bit of searching…

Here is link to WB Blu ray region coding stats…

    http://regionfreemovies.com/studio/Warner_Home_Video

regionfree.com suggests that over 70% of blu ray movies are region free, purely to reduce on production costs and because it is so easy to bypass the restriction….

  • Doesn't the NTSC colour system used result in slightly reduced image quality over PAL though?

If there's no issue there, then this is a pretty good deal given Rises is about $24 by itself here at best.

Already got Dark Night, but Batman Begins effectively for another $4 is okay.

    • +2

Being that all blu ray is 1080p high definition, the PAL v NTSC debate is non existent

  • Cool, though I'm waiting to get my hands on the collectors edition with the broken cowl…

    • I was going to grab one, but I was incredibly disappointed to see the cowl was around the size of a closed fist.

I wrongly assumed it was going to be 1:1 scale, if it were I would defiantly have one on my shelf.

  • Gah price drop right after the pre order shipped. Also reading that Amazon got rid of their 30 day price protection.

  • Just purchased thanks.
Shipping is 18-32 days which seems a lot?

  • How do I use the $5 discount?

  • Had this on pre-order for $29.96, only just shipped out yesterday. Also got a $2 refund due to pre-order guarantee, as the price had dropped to $27.96 in the last few days. Back to $29.99 now though.

  • Price has gone up to 29.99. I got mine for USD 30.97 shipped after the $5 off promotion was applied.

  • and it's down again to $U27.96. Awaiting the delivery of mine - granted prob wont see it until the week befor Xmas.

  • Was charged $27.72 on my bankwest MasterCard.

  • Couldn't claim the $5 discount coupon from Amazon to bring this down to under $30 so am going to pass. Followed the claim process and ended up with an amazon item in my facebook timeline, but no $5 benefit!

Thanks for posting this offer though - good buy for those who could get it at $28 delivered.

    Cheers.

  • can someone confirm whether these blu ray trilogy is region free and playable on Australian players?
