Stay up to date
Don't worry about your tablet becoming out of date. The Tab P11 Gen 2 comes with Android™ 12L out of the box. Enjoy three years of security updates, plus the next two versions of Android™ OS after 12L.

Yeah, so no, it won't get any further android updates. It's (hopefully) on android 14, if they kept their word, but android 15 drops in a couple of weeks and it won't get that. So basically it will be out of date from the first month you buy it.
Lenovo support matrix says the P11 gen2 will get OS updates until 2024* and security updates until 11/30/2025*

I got this device a few months ago. Pretty happy with it. It is not super fast but responsive enough. The pen is handy. I used it for storing and annotating sheet music. I'd suggest seeing if JB can price beat.
Why jb?
Ow can use flybuys
This will only net you 297 Flybuys points - that's not even $1.50.
You definitely shouldn't be buying this at Officeworks for the Flybuys if you can get it cheaper somewhere else.Where else can get cheaper?
Buying jb gift card isn’t getting any discount.
And jb price match doesn’t get any discount rate and just matching the price.
what apps do you use for the sheet music stuff?
considering buying this for a music person and they do that sheet music stuff.
This or Samsung A9+?
I was doing the same comparison awhile back myself…got the Samsung A9+ for even cheaper from Big W last month and really happy with it for a budget tablet. Has a Snapdragon processor in it which is surprising for way under $300, really snappy and not bad battery life. I actually got the Kids Edition, so it came with a really good case and a crayon stylus lol. Whilst the Samsung only has 64GB you can put a memory card in it as well.
Plus, the A9+ is going to get a few more updates compared to the Lenovo tablet which is done with Android OS updates.
Can you share the link for the kids version, please.
Thankshttps://www.bigw.com.au/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-a9-64gb-w…
it's the normal A9+ tablet, just with the case and crayon stylus… It goes on special regularly, sometimes for cheaper than the tablet by itself so just keep an eye on it for when it goes under $300. It has the "kids mode" software installed, but you can just ignore as it only runs if you open the app.
Thanks
Isn't this more than 2 years old? Will it get any updates?
