I tried Hijinx Hotel for the first time last month and had a good laugh. You can choose 30 or 60 minutes.
We did 60 and felt it was a good run, 30 minutes would've been too short.
Definitely wear sneakers and casual clothes - much fun to be had!

Fun activity rooms. Some escape rooms can be a bit intense for people, so these activity rooms can be a good alternrative to do fun/quick challenges before moving onto the next activity room.
Multiple rooms not like an escape room at all. Each room has a different challenge very basic challenge and the more people in the room the better. Things like memory, put balls down the chute, more memory, and tap things on the wall. if you want a challenge do it with less people lots more running around so much sweatier, speed based challenge of course

We were in Gold Coast surfers paradise and there was a hijinx hotel near us. One of our hotel staff told us about a deal - I guess it was every Tuesday - just walk up to the reception and tell them -“you know if you know” - that gives you unlimited 3 hrs for $5. It was a bit hard to believe but we tried and it worked. Kids had loads of fun. We got unlimited Timezone like play for 30 mins, access to all rooms, mini golf and much more. Not sure if it still works, this was around new year time this year. But if you are in Gold Coast - give it a go.
