EB Games have dropped their price. It’s the same as Amazon and slightly cheaper than JB Hi-Fi.

      The only reason im considering getting a ps5 pro is to play gta 6, on the assumption that it will play it better than the regular ps5. Time will tell though. Right now, i still dont see any games that entice me on the playstation unfortunately.

          GTA 6 is scheduled for late next year, i doubt the ps6 will be out by then, as the ps5 is only 4 years old right now…

          Ive got a brand new fully specc'd gaming pc, however gta 6 doesnt look like it will be out on pc until late 2026 :(

    Considering you could buy a Slim for $239 just two months ago and now EB values it at $271 (before any bonus) seems like a good deal to me.

      Had it in cart from this morning, and just received an email from eBay to use a targeted eBay Plus Spend & Save on Eligible items code for $50 off.

      Code doesn't show up under My eBay Summary -> Vouchers, but can confirm it works.

    Waiting for the Amazon prime sale or black friday.

        @sween64 Thanks, for pointing that out - I didn't realise EB were on Ultimate cards!

        But there's a limit of 5 cards per customer at a max $100 value (if you're lucky to find them), so that would be $168 short of the total required.

        The trouble is they are rarely in stock when I go to the shops, and only in small denominations which is frustrating for a $600+ order.

    I got a working PS4 pro lying around but got some minor scratches on top. Are they strict with the physical condition of the console for trade-in? What kind of games do they accept? I'm new to this trade -in. Thanks

      Minor scratches? That will be fine. The bar for trade in is quite low. As long as console powers on, controller works, accessories that came with it like power supply cable is there, they will give you the full trade in value.

      No experience with games though

          They should do it. From a security standpoint, I would recommend signing out of your devices as a minimum in case it gets missed. Then you'll be explaining to whichever console maker that you've been hacked and someone has been buying with your CC that's saved to your account.

          Just a disclaimer, I don't work for EB nor do I know the full process. I've just traded an OG switch and PS4 slim around 3 years ago during bonus trade in. I've signed out of my account and factory reset.

          From their end, they just need to function test to make sure it works. In my case, it powers on, all minimum accessories are there? Cool, here's your store credit.

      According to the PS5 Pro deal it’s any games. I’m guessing any PS4 games will work (other than now F2P titles)

      I traded my OG XBox One console, that didn't even read discs (kept ejecting them), they didn't bat an eyelid. Same with controllers, they don't check them, they just send back to their factory for refurbishing.

    Hi guys i did a trade in and it didn't say Plus 5% trade bonus on the invoice.. it only says 25% as level 5 what can I do? unless its not updated to show Plus 5% trade bonus?? for ebgames plus , maybe some issue with someone else knows this more then me?

    Thanks op for highlighting the trade in deals, they take any four games, so I scraped the bottom of the barrel at CeX, then went to EB. Cashier knew exactly what I did and said they use the same strat. Stacked with 15% discounted ultimate gift cards from many moons ago. Walked out with a new console, space marine 2 ($69 - special offer when buying console), system shock ($28) and vampire the masquerade swan song ($23) total of $480, effective out of pocket cost of $408. Not including $16 for cost of 4 PS4 games from CeX. Obviously would have been cheaper without the additional games but hey, I still think it's pretty good considering I got the PS4 for like $220 back in 2019/20. Shoutout for making my week.

    Does anyone know when the trade in deal ends? I have an SSD in my pro, not sure I can be bothered putting the original one back in. Do they even check for that or just power it on?

      If the SSD is just the same size as the hard it probably won't matter, it took me like an hour to switch the drive on mine (including reinstalling the console os). I had a 2tb sata ssd in mine though, so it was worth going to the effort to switch it to a generic 500gb 5400rpm hdd that I had lying around. The og PS4 hdd ended up in a budget pc build for a family member. Not sure when the deal ends though sorry.

    Thanks for posting this deal. Took my PS4 Slim & purchased 4 games from EB for $14 (got a $2 one!) and this stacked with the Level 3 trade bonus, so with the addition of my dual shock I paid $340 for the PS5. Bargain.

        @preasm14 The PS4 Slim trade-in package consists of console, controller, power cable, HDMI cable and charging cable. I think the dual-shock is an extra controller.

    Paid $300 for mine. Extra controller and a couple extra games knocked off $47. I used a $500 ultimate gc I had from a while back which I got for 15% off, saving $75. I consider that saving towards the PS5 so in my mind I only paid $225 for it lol.

    Traded a PS4 pro, 5 ps4 games, 2 Xbox1 games.
    Got the Slim disc version for $320 after using $10 bday voucher.

    They didn't even test the console and the controller. I was just asked whether they are all working and no bugs inside the console.

    Hope for a PS5 JB soon.

    This expires tomorrow and I don't need a PS5 still, but this deal seems hard to pass up.

    Surely we're not going to get a better deal than this anytime soon, given you can find PS4 slims for $100 easily on FB Marketplace (personally got one for $50 with no controller recently).

    For the PS4 Slim trade-in, EB are paying:
    Level 1: $271
    Level 4 ($271*1.2) = $325

    If buying 7% discounted gift cards from MQG then as a L4 it's $319 + PS4 Slim

    Just called two different stores in South Australia, I was told that the ps4 pro trade-in promotion of $283 is wrong and that it actually is $347.

    Any ideas?

      $283 was for Lvl4 member.
      I have no idea why they use that number for promotion though as I dont think many people would be Lvl 4.
