  • Nexus 4 still out of stock… Seems okay.

    • Nexus 4 will not be coming back into stock until next year apparently. It's been preordered out for the next 16 weeks. I wonder if Google did this on purpose; set a ridiculously low price so other companies would try to compete with it but not actually selling the product in droves so they wouldn't lose too much money.

      • keyword: apparently

Nothing official whether not Google has stock allocated for Australia and if it will be available before or after Christmas.

This sucks, sold my Galaxy Nexus on eBay, shipped it off yesterday.
Stuck with my iPhone 3G for a while then :(

Some memorable quotes from Meizu: "Four cores of fast" featuring "Backside illumination"

  • Meizu mx2? Any news when you'll be carrying it?

    • +1

I've heard a few rumblings that maybe it will arrive towards the end of the month, but Meizu have been known to miss their launch targets, (sometimes by a lot, see M8 for an example), so I wouldn't feel too confident stating any specific date.

    Erm….

The real-life usage results were just as depressing: with the occasional call, moderate surfing, a little photo-taking, a steady stream of email and continuous social media updates, we ran out of juice in six hours on high mode and 10 hours on medium.

    Is that enough for everybody?

EDIT: I ordered a Chinese Android phone couple weeks ago, which would have been okay if: 1., it wasn't too heavy to pull my pants down :) 2., the GPS unit was functional.

I sent it back and still waiting for my money back.

Maybe I'll just wait for Google Nexus :)

    • Mind you this phone cost $530 unlocked, not your average price for a Chinese Android phone…

  • Not a bad phone, how long is shipping to Brisbane?

    • With the default shipping method, 3-5 days, conservatively estimating.

"The Meizu's screen is dim and unimpressive."
    But otherwise impressive.

"Who said a quad-core smartphone needs to be expensive?"

The same people who expect their phones to have decent battery life, support, build-quality and assurance.

Have you ever used Meizu phone? How can you be so sure it hasn't got decent battery life, support, build-quality and assurance?

    • +2

TONs of reviews suggest a solid battery life, fantastic build quality and support, so what are you talking about ?, besides the warranty and support is provided by this firm selling the product…

  • Meizu has good reputation in China. From my search from taobao(Biggest C2C site in China. Got more than $USD 3 billion sales within one day on 11/11/2012), the price is about AUD $400. See this: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&pre….

    • Seriously? 7.5 million units sold in one day?

      • Taobao got $USD 3 billion sales, not meizu. Taobao is a site, not a brand.

        • It's the ebay of China

  • Good price! I wish you guys would post some wp7 deals…

  • Any deals on a Xiaomi MI-2?

  • sif no card slot or fm radio =\

  • Way too many corners cut in places some people just don't realise. I don't know why they do it.

  • Meizu MX2 is out. I'll be attempted to buy that if Expansys can get that model.
